From Reykjavik, we drive to Raufarhólshellir, one of the most significant lava tunnels in Iceland, where a local guide will tell us all about its spectacular colors and rock formations. After an hour-long tour of the tunnel, we head to the beautiful Reykjanes Peninsula, home of the Reykjanes Geopark, UNESCO site and one of Iceland’s geological gems, a place rich in geothermal energy, seismic activity, and tectonic movements. We will visit the beautiful lakes Kleifarvatn and Grænavatn, the multi-colored hills on Krýsuvík and the geothermal areas of Seltún and Gunnuhver with their hot spring and mud pools and much more. So you’ll get some cardio/ work out day for sure. We do caving often and we know there is nothing better than warm bath after half a day spent underground in humid and cool environment but than again bath sounds sooo boring. Unless you are in Iceland where you can just simply submerge yourself in a natural hot geothermal stream... Found in a beautiful valley up in the mountains, enjoining tasty Icelandic style hot dog prepared with a help of hot springs!
