Sean was awesomely the best of the bestest - very highly recommended!!! We toured Valparaiso and Vina del Mar with him, and he dropped us off at Santiago for our cruise embarkation the following day. That was our first trip to South America - our pre-cruise tour, as we cruised Chile, Antarctica, Falkland Islands, Argentina, Uruguay - still so many places to explore in this area. We will definitely come back, and use Sean's company again...

We booked a trip on line from home before even venturing to Chile. But Mike was there to pick us up exactly as planned months before and took us on a really interesting day out. He knows his wine and he likes to share his knowledge, but he is definitely NOT a wine bore. The whole day was just such good fun.

Enjoyed the scenery, and culture within the community. It missed out on the 4 star review because the hygiene and service could be improved drastically. To further enhance improvements, I would recommend that this is fit for a family of 4, as it depends on your tour. The tour around the city is spetacular, but the wine tours need to be further enhanced. Anyways, I enjoyed most of the experience.

Transfer to the emblematic and prestigious Colchagua Valley located between the coastal mountains and the Andes in the central area. A beautiful place where we will find very historical vineyards that belong to old families and that have passed through different generations. We will visit the best vineyards and do the wine tour to learn more about its history and, of course, taste its exquisite wines. On the way we will go through other important valleys due to its agriculture and the wine industry for export: the valleys of Maipo and Cachapoal. There was chaos in arrivals & we were approached by an official looking chap who had all the correct id, had our name on his list & knew which hotel we were transferring to; there were 3 'assisting' us - they had a very smart mini bus. They insisted we had to pay a "road poll charge". To cut a long story short - they got our debit card & withdrew two lots of £200 from our account. With the help of the lovely staff at the Intercontinental Hotel we managed to put a stop on our card pretty quickly. Our Bank was not surprised at what happened - they said Santiago Airport is notorious for this type of activity. So be very sure your taxi or transfer is official - be vigilant to the point of rudeness if necessary!

We took this tour last year. The guide doesn’t speak English at all, and keep repeating the same information over and over. They also don’t let you move and ask you to be next to them all the time. Amazing place but awful guide
We invite you to visit the impressive Sewell mining town, located in the heart of the Andes Mountains, 150 kilometers south of Santiago. This city was built at the beginning of the 20th century with the objective of housing the workers of El Teniente, the largest underground copper mine in the world. In its colorful wooden houses, more than 15,000 people lived. One of its main features is the absence of streets, with stairs being the only access roads, which is why it is known as the City of Stairs.

Be a distinguished protagonist of one of the most exclusive wine experiences in Chile while visiting 2 of the most awarded Chilean wineries worldwide, and discover why Colchagua Valley is considered to be the birthplace of Chile´s iconic wines. Located 150 kms from Santiago, we will start our tour visiting Lapostolle Winery, where Alexandra Marnier Lapostolle and her husband decided to create a world-class wine project back in 1994. Their work has been acknowledged with great achievements such as their Clos Apalta, recognized in more than two occasions as the Chile´s best icon wine, and its 2004 vine stock as the "best in the world according to WineSpectator (2008)", and 5th place among 16,000 wines for their 2014 strain in the 2017 list... surely a must experience. After wine tasting in a spectacular underground winery in Viña Lapostolle, we will head to Montes Winery, owned by the so-called "Mr. Chilean Wine”, Aurelio Montes. This spectacular and imposing winery is located in a beautiful territory which you can explore in an ingenious guided tour on the slopes of the hills that surround this exclusive sub-valley called Apalta. While in Montes Winery, you can´t miss the opportunity to have lunch at the famous Fuegos de Apalta restaurant, lead by the world-acclaimed chef Francis Mellman, an expert hand on meats, finishing off this entire wine experience that you will surely remember forever. We of course enjoyed the spectacular scenery of the rugged, snow covered mountains and the flat, green valleys, but what made the trek particularly enjoyable was our guide, Esteban, who had extensive knowledge of the geology and the wildlife, as well as the history of the region. He spent most of the time talking, either answering our questions or just explaining the things we were seeing. It was like a National Geographic tour. And although, sadly, the air was still and therefore we did not see any condors, we were very happy with the trek.

We were looking forward to this tour and visiting Valparaíso and Viña del Mar. Tour guide arrived 1/3 late because of ‘traffic’. When we got on the bus only two single seats available. The old bus was too crowded with 15 people on board. The seats were fit for children, not adults. Patched up sun roof held together with tape. One person had to sit between the driver and tour guide! Very uncomfortable. We stopped at a roadside tourist wine tasting/cafeteria/gift store for 1/2 hr. This was 20 min into the trip. The tour of Valparaíso was good as we walked a lot of streets. We were taken to two places in Viña del Mar. One a little garden as you drive into town and the second a statue from Easter Island. We were dropped off at a restaurant for 1-1/2 hrs and then waited another 20 min for the driver and tour operator to return. Way too long and a waste of time for lunch (at our expense).
