Rohtas Fort (Punjabi, Urdu: قلعہ روہتاس; Qila Rohtas) is a 16th-century fortress located near the city of Jhelum in the Pakistani province of Punjab.The fortress was built during the reign of Sher Shah Suri between 1541 and 1548. The fort was also designed to suppress the local Gakhar tribes of the Potohar region. The Gakhar tribes were allies of the Mughal Empire, and refused to recognize the suzerainty of Sher Shah Suri.] The fort is one of the largest and most formidable in the subcontinent. Rohtas Fort was never stormed by force, and has survived remarkably intact.

An amazing K2 base camp trek with Trango Adventure. I wanted to travel with a local company in Pakistan as it will benefit the local people and local economy. I chose to book my K2 base camp trek journey with Trango Adventure. They were local, knew the area inside out and ticked all the boxes. Office staff and the field crew were extremely helpful throughout the K2 base camp trek. Enjoyed every moment I spent in the mountains with my Guide and the friendly Balti porters. They provided clean tents and plenty of food. The highlight of the K2 base camp trek was, spending two night at Concordia under the shadow of K2 (8,611 meters), Broad Peak ( 8,047 meters), Gasherbrum (8,080 meters), Concordia is like no place you have seen before. Sparsely populated and extremely humbling, the rugged terrain that makes up Pakistan's Karakoram Range is just as impressive as you imagine. The huge peak of K2, the second highest mountain in the world, dominates the renown Baltoro area. Trekking to the foothills of K2 and Concordia is an absolute classic trek, highly recommended.

Explore second largest salt times in the world " Khewara Salt Mined ". The mine is famous for its production of pink Khewra salt, and is a major tourist attraction, drawing up to 250,000 visitors a year. Alexander's troops in 320 BC, explored the mines first time. Visitors are taken into the mine on the Khewra Salt Mines Railway. After Khewra, you journey will continue towards Kallar Kahar. Its a beautiful green valley with lake. it is the salt water lake because the salt mines are also nearby. You can enjoy boating & snacks. Good place for picnicking and outdoor day tour. The last stop of the day will be Katas Raj Temple a complex of ancient temples. The temples are considered to be the second most sacred site in the historic Punjab region.

Kartarpur is 4 kilometers away from the Punjab border of India. Here Guru Nanak spends 18 years of his life and took his last breath.
