We were staying in a vacation rental north of Lyon while attending the Women’s World Cup and had initially wanted to take a Beaujolais Wine Tour on one of the off-days. Unfortunately, we couldn’t find a tour or private tour guide that wasn’t already booked. As a result, we moved further North and started looking at Burgundy wine tours. Luckily by-chance, we booked The Wines of Burgundy Day Tour with Pieter Smits. We had a wonderful tour with Pieter as we visited several villages, chateaus, and wineries. Not only were we able to sample some fine wines but Pieter also selected a restaurant where we had a great lunch. Pieter is very engaging and knowledgeable which helped make the tour very enjoyable. It's an experience I will always remember.

Once you've visited Colmar in a day this is a great way to visit some of the surrounding villages that are all really pretty. Quite a lot of walking involved to explore the different areas. I imagine that in the summer it gets very busy. We were lucky as it was sunny and quiet with a group of 5. Thanks Ivan for your patience and to try and answer all our questions. Pick up at the hotel at 9h and returned around 17h. A full day out.

We had a wonderful experience touring the highlights of Reims with Gwendol and Royal Journey this past September and I highly recommend you use him and his services! We had a limited amount of time in the area, and wanted to maximize seeing a few of the highlights. He designed an itinerary for us that balanced sight-seeing of priority spots for us (Reims cathedral, Hautvillers, Eparnay) with some relaxation time tasting champagne at a wonderful spot he recommended (L'Ecurie in Eparnay owned by Champagne de Venoge). Gwendol is very knowledgable, contributed informative, educational details about the various places we visited and was kind, easygoing and friendly. He rolled with the punches with our motley crew and made the whole touring experience so seamless and easy. Gwendol's Mercedes V class van was lovely, clean and comfortable, and he picked us up and dropped us off in a timely fashion at our rented property. Thank you, Gwendol, for providing us with such a lovely experience visiting the beautiful area of Reims.

Everything we did on this tour was just perfect. The day started with Stéphane picking us up in the Tesla. We went up to the castle and he gave very interesting background information on the history of the region and the castle on the way up. After the castle, we went to a wine tasting which was fabulous. We then went to two villages that looked like they were from a fairy tale. He was very knowledgeable and funny. I would recommend this tour to anyone who visits this region.

We had an amazing 3 visits to some very different Champagne house spent in the company of the fantastic Delphine and Chloe. The champagne houses were lovely but what made the trip so special was the knowledgeable, professional and fun Delphine. 10/10! Definitely recommend doing the virtual tasting tour with Tom, who did a wonderful job creating an immersive experience online. He is highly knowledgable and passionate when it comes to all things champagne and not to mention, he's easy on the eyes. Can't wait to do a tour with A la Francaise again in the future :)

We are more than happy to compose an individual tour, which is based entirely on your preferences and wishes. Both of us speak a perfect fluent English. If you wish we can help you with the organization of your trip ahead of time. You will be chauffeured in a Tesla Model S or Model X. Those cars are spaceships for the road, equipped with the all the famous crazy Tesla features.

We did their Alsace Discovery Tour with our 3 year old and 11 month old. It was fantastic. The car was immaculate and came with the car seats already installed. The driver was so friendly and helpful with the kids and understanding when our baby cried in the car a few times. He explained a lot about the history of the area and was very engaged with us. We would have skipped the castle to spend more time at the winery. The winery was also kid friendly. Can’t recommend enough. Fantastic experience.
