After a 10 day Traveling adventure with a group through another traveling group, my friend and I opted for a private tour of Rainbow Mountain! Unfortunately it snowed on the day we reserved our tour; however it was one of our most enjoyable days due to the kindness of our guide Richard. He was very informative regarding the history and culture of the area and people. We were able to see some beautiful sites on the way to and home. We met some local folks, stopped by a lovely place to eat Los Cabanas and have coffee. The food was awesome!! Richard took some beautiful photos and was patient with us when we wanted to stop to view some sights/alpacas!! The time with Cusco Holiday Peru Servicios Turisticos was one of our most favorite and memorable!! Thanks for such a wonderful time and adventure!!

When we travelled to Peru this past summer, one of my favorite and most impactful activities was spending the day at the AASD EcoHuella farm. When we first arrived, Anna and Jolyn, two passionate and amazing people, explained AASD’s mission to teach and preserve farmers’ traditional knowledge, and we got to learn more about the organization and how it is helping the communities in Peru. We spent the day helping out at the farm, weeding and breaking corn stalks for fertilizer. We also got to explore the farm, and the whole experience was not only rewarding and informative but also fun. After the long day, we were cooked a delicious traditional meal, one of my favorite meals from my whole trip, and then we got to visit one of the AASD’s greenhouses. I would greatly recommend going to the AASD farm to get a closer look at Peruvian life and farming.

We booked with this company and paid 130USD for the 4 days - less than everyone else who ended up on the same tour but booked with different agencies. We were really happy with the service: The bikes and equipment were in great condition. Our guide Vicente spoke English fairly well and tried to make it fun for everyone. Ziplining was really fun and the hikes never too hard thanks to several well-organized breaks. Food was also always excellent and more than enough for us personally (we would have loved some fruit for brekky - but hey, that’s high hopes haha). The rafting did not happen due to the rivers being way too high in rainy season (we saw them with our own eyes and did not want to be on them on a boat). But we were advised of this before (thank you!) and therefore paid a bit less. In total, I would say the best way to get to Machu Picchu! Just be aware to bring a good amount of change of clothes in rainy season ... mountain biking will get you DRENCHED!

5. Day Tour to Pisaq, Ancashmarca, with Urco Site

Cusco Holiday Peru Servicios Turisticos

Calca is located in the Sacred Valley of the Inca, It is a very quiet and non-touristy town, characterized by its beautiful nature and pleasant climate. Its location is strategic, for excursions, such as Huchuy Qosqo, Ancashmarca, Urco. It is also ideal for visiting traditional communities, for cultural immersion reasons in an indigenous community. Calca is at an altitude of 2,900 m.s.n.m., and is surrounded by imposing mountains, such as Pitusiray, with an altitude of 4.987 msnm. According to the Andean religious system, this mountain, along with its dual, the Sawasiray, are considered among the most important Sacred Mountains or Divinities, called "Apus". Likewise, these Apus are associated with the reproduction of food plants and, therefore, not only the farmers of Calca invoke them, but also, those of other distant places, Ethnography and ethnohistory report various myths and religious practices related to these mountains, dating back to pre-Hispanic times.
