I would have given this a 5 star rating just for the trip experience, but I unfortunately experienced sexist and rude comments from the staff there. Maybe it was because I am a mauritian and not a foreigner. According to the quad biking staff, women do not know how to drive. "Si ena ene ti garson devant ou, ou koner ou krk, mais si ena ene tifi devant, li kav zis arete ene kout ek lerla ou kav taper, paski banla pa koner zot" - these are the words of one particular staff. Instructions are also rushed, and if you missed something, they tell you that you were not listening. It's such a great activity, so it's a shame that some of us had to face these comments.

Fantastic knowledgeable pilot guided tour of the most amazing sites and topography including the natural wonders and manmade parts of Mauritius from sugar and tea plantations to the sheer beauty of the wild coastline, the coloured sands, the volcanic craters and for me the very special moment of the turtle swimming free, gliding out to sea ... I loved every second of this trip

This company were organised the transfers on arrival to Mauritius to our hotel resort. It was the most uncomfortable and sub standard transfer we have ever experienced. After a twelve hour flight from the UK we were packed to capacity in a small, old vehicle with no proper air conditioning, small uncomfortable seats and luggage separated only by an old net at the rear of the vehicle. We were then subjected to 45 plus minutes of poor driving in the most uncomfortable vehicle which in the UK would have been compared only to a builder's van. We complained to the rep on arrival at the resort and said we would not be prepared to make the return journey in the same circumstances. When I asked about an upgrade to private transfer I was given a price of 2,000 rupees, this was the same price as the taxi from the hotel. This was not an acceptable price given that we had already paid for a transfer and as we were not able to negotiate anything else with Mautorco, we booked a taxi. Extremely poor service and for that reason we did not even look at trips with this company. Certainly would not recommend.
Dive into the long history of tea growing and production in Mauritius. A fascinating journey through the uplands starting at Domaine des Aubineaux, a colonial house now converted into a museum. You will continue on across the green-carpeted landscape of Bois Cheri to a tea factory where lunch will be served. This epic, flavoursome adventure will come to a close with a visit to a two-centuries-old period house in Saint Aubin. Highlights of the day: •Meander across a carpet of greenery •Gain an insight into two and a half centuries of tea history •Les Aubineaux Colonial House •Bois Cheri Tea Factory •Saint Aubin Colonial House
