7 am is not that early. You’re jet lagged and are probably up anyway. I took this 2 hour tour the morning before my afternoon flight home. I met Takako at the central station and we walked to the fish market. This fish market is more accessible than the one in Tokyo because ordinary people shop here, not just wholesale restaurant owners and shopkeepers. I saw fish I’ve never seen before, like blue mussels the size of dinner plates and big fat tiger striped prawns. Did you know there are several different types of nori (seaweed sheets), each with a distinctive taste? Samples are available for you to try. If you’re lucky, a fishmonger will give you a piece of tuna sashimi that’s just hours out of the Pacific Ocean! Takako took me to a local 24-hr sushi place for breakfast, where the chefs have been dishing fish for decades. No tourists here!

We had an amazing time on our tour with Moka! It was nice to see so many sites in one day without any of the hassle. Moka was super friendly and eager to give us an amazing day! She was very knowledgeable and provided us with a lot of historical facts during our tour of Nagoya castle. Moka speaks great English and helped explain many customs of Japan. As a bonus, it was nice to get familiar with the public transportation system with someone to help :) We highly recommend doing Moka's tours!

My 2 friends and I went on the beginners Spring Tour 2019 for our first trip to Japan. We loved it and can't wait to go back! Becky and Shawn are awesome. They were so down to earth, helpful and very knowledgeable. I also really liked that the tour group is small. It allows you to get to know your fellow group members and ensures personal attention from your guides. We saw so many large tour groups at tour sites and they looked a little chaotic, it made me happy we chose a small group. The accommodations were always clean and comfortable and located perfectly. Food was amazing!!! If you are willing to try new things you can have an amazing gourmet experience. The events and locations that Becky and Shawn chose were top notch and we got to experience all different modes of transportation while there.
