I am playing catch up as I haven't been here in quite a while,In 2016/2017 my partner and I travelled to Myanmar having a 3 week custom private tour. The Team at Tour East were excellent, Not only did everything go as planned the guides provided in each area were extremely knowledgeable and made suggestions re our itinerary to compliment what was already planned. Balloons over Bagan was probably a highlight however the while trip over something for all the senses and the people we met were wonderful.

MOGOK is popular in Myanmar as the Ruby Land. World class precious Ruby were found in Mogok; the valley of rubies in Myanmar. You will experience the quiet town, pleasant weather which is even colder than Pyin Oo Lwin and Kalaw in Myanmar. Lesser known summer vacation spot for even Myanmar people. Not touristic and very easy to move around the town and explore. Lisu, Shan, Chinese, Bamar, Karen, Palaung Indian and Gurkhas ethnics people are living in peace and harmonious ways, and we'll get to know more insightful culture of them, living styles, costumes and their foods. As well as a leisurely trek to the villages and gardens, swimming at pristine waterfall, and tasting plenty of foods will be amazing experiences for you. It will be also included mountaineering experiences, motorcycle ride, listening Lisu music, and a land transport all the way from Yangon, Mandalay and end up in Mogok after passing 999 mountains drive. Due to Covid-19 we have been 'stuck in Yangon for 5 months. The Government opened up domestic travel and we contacted Zaw Min Oo @ Jack. He arranged our accomodations, flight to Mandalay, road trips to Bagan, Kalaw and Inle Lake (smaller flight routes still not operational) and flight back from HeHo. The 10days were absolutely amazing. We stopped at many little places along our travels off the tourist track. The tours were informative and interesting and he didn't spare the effort to make it as fascinating and interesting as possible. It was like travelling with a friend, not a tour guide. Jack's passion for his country is contagious. Highly recommended.

After the long time no travelling because of the pandemic, I was here for the second time ❤️ It still choose this tour cause the last time I was so impressed by everything. Vietnam’s nature is always amazed me, that’s why I choose VN to be my second home. I love spending time on the sampan boat visting Market’s Area, so crowded. The CuChi tunnel visit was interesting. The tour guide told us a lot about the history and the underground people here. Moveover, there is no word can describe how delicious Vietnamese food is... the food was made by local people so it different from other place but just so wonderful. I really highly recommend this trip to everyone! I even want to come back the third time ????

The true faces of the Myanmar can be met if you go for this unique tour, which you can explore a small village outside of Yangon and get a chance to observe how ordinary Burmanese live their daily life. I joined this tour on 26 Dec 2019, booked via Tripadvisor, and was led by a local certificated guide . We took a ferry from Yangon to reach the village and went for bike riding. During the bike riding, we stopped at a few stops such as a traditional market, a local coffee shop for tea break, and a souveinor shop. The village is humble and authentic ,not artifically sugarcoated for foreign tourists. It is far different from where I come from and live, giving me a lot of thoughts about the gap between developed countries and developing countries. The tour did show me how real Burmanese live their daily lifes outside of usual tourists scenes. (but I think some people at the mentioned spots are familiar with tourists already, they were very calm when serving us)When I saw traditional houses, schools, farming, markets, honestly I was thinking like, how can they live under such conditions? To me, the quality of life there seemed something really poor and miserable....however, to my surprise, local people I met during the bike riding looked happy. They waved at me and say hello! when I was passing by them. The smiling face of innocent kids comforted me, making me forget about small problems of life. As this is a private tour, you can expect 1 to 1 instruction and commentary provided by the tour guide so can use this as a chance to get to understand the country and people by asking questions to the guide! Be aware that the time duration for this tour is almost 3-hour, and takes place under the hot weather. If you are not confident or unsure if your physical conditions and steminar would be fit for 3-hour of bike riding, you'd better not try this tour.

Yangon, the largest city and former capital of Myanmar, is the most common the entry point into the country. With a colorful history and some of the greatest colonial architecture, the city is a perfect start to a memorable travel experience in Myanmar. The bustling markets & restaurants, bumpy train rides, motorbike-free avenues, stunning colonial buildings, numerous temples & stupas, and the friendly locals dressed in their traditional clothing, all come together to create the perfect blend of culture. Some visitors enjoy Yangon so much they stay for days on end. Highlights • Feel the taste of Local Foods in Yangon • Travelling to Future by meeting with Fortune Teller • The glorious Shwedagon pagoda, heart of Yangon. • Experience the cultures of Religions (Buddhist, Hindu and Catholic)
