Tea houses, tradicional kuchen and sweets are envolving visitors to stay a long time. Puerto Varas is considered the tourist capital of southern Chile. The peaceful life of streets, visitors and locals enjoy the beautiful view and its surroundings. Influenced by the German colonization and the perfect fusion with Spaniards and Chileans, they transform it into one of the most attractive cities of our region.

Spent a very enjoyable day exploring the sights with Miguel. The bus was very clean and comfortable and also had free wi-fi. Our driver was excellent, we felt very safe, even on the winding roads up to the volcano. Miguel was very knowledgeable and personable. He even had a bottle of water and a traditional Chilean pastry for everyone! He gave us great restaurant recommendations in Puerto Vargas. This tour was half the price of the same tour offered by our cruise line. Fantastic value! Highly recommend!

Friendly, knowledgeable, punctual and good value. What more could you ask for? Christian listened to what are interests were so brought along Magdalena for her better English and knowledge of Chiloe birds and nature. In addition, Christian offered to drive us to the bus station early morning of our last day as a favour which was kind and helpful. We did 3 outings and enjoyed them all,

The road to the top takes you through some small communities (picturesque) and then winding up the mountain with beauty all around. At the top, hiking enthusiasts can take a short, strenuous hike (about 40 minutes round trip.) No trees--just rocks and ice and a restaurant and shop and restrooms.

We arrived on our cruise ship and found our guide, Nicolas, waiting for us in the arrivals Hall at the Terminal holding a board clearly showing our name. Nicolas was absolutely fantastic. He spoke excellent English but is conversant in other languages also. He is a very warm, friendly and personable man and provided us with lots of information about the history, culture and customs, Flora and fauna and a whole multitude of facts about the area during the trip. The cruise ship offered tours but Nicolas took us to areas where coaches would never reach and as a result we were treated to some spectacular scenery and views. Our party of 4 asked him to suggest an authentic Chilean restaurant for our lunch and he took us to La Marca in Puerto Varas. This really was the ideal restaurant to visit and exactly what our group wanted. It was a bonus having Nicolas with us as he was able to advise and suggest authentic Chilean dishes. As a result we had THE most fantastic lunch. If we were to return to the area we would definitely use this company again and I would be putting in a special request that Nicolas was given responsibility as our Tour Guide.....

A short and easy walk from the parking lot reveals this stunning sight. Even prettier (because of the waterfall and river) than Japan's Mt. Fuji.
