Krampus originates from centuries of Pagan festivals and is by far the most unique Christmas celebration ever experienced. We took this tour from Salzburg and it was a great one! We had a great experience between nature and this wonderful palace. The guide was very informative and was with us the whole time. We enjoyed the boat ride on the lake with the mountains in the background. Arriving on the island we had a nice walk through the nature to get to the palace. The foutains were jsut amazing. I have been to Versailles but this palace was way more and better than expected. The mirror room and the unfinished parts to see the comparison between the finished and the unfinished part was just amazing. On the way back the guide took us through the Bavarian countryside. The first time that Easy Company part of the 101st. Airborne division reached the hills of Obersalzberg most of the buildings in that area where destroyed. If you visit this area today you will see that a lot has changed, the forest has taken over and a big parking place leads people straight up the mountain. This tour is here to provide you with far reaching insight of the historical locations hidden in the forest, see the ruins of Hitler's house and other WWII sights that will bring history to life. Then hike up from there to the Eagle's Nest and you will following the steps of the first American soldiers that got there by foot in May 1945. Even though the Eagle's Nest is one of the most visited places in Germany our tour will take us thru a more richer and less traveled path. The tour is a mix world history, exercise and incredible landscapes. I take pride in offering the best possible experience to deliver professional and safe guidance in the mountains with a relaxed atmosphere.
Inclusions: Transport to Eagle's Nest and back., Can borrow trekking poles if requested, Exploration of the Obersalzberg (where the high command had their residences), Ruins of Hitler's mountain house.
Exclusions: Food is not included in the tour, make sure to bring your own snacks or food for a picnic in the Alps., The Eagle's Nest building is closed this year but the hike allow us exclusive access to the area.
I went with my two other friends to celebrate my 18th birthday and it was absolutely breathtaking. We are traveling around Europe and this was one of the best days that we’ve had. The tour guide was extremely nice and knew his stuff. It was world the money and the time!! We stopped at the most beautiful spots and they are great for taking pictures. It was a great way to see the outside of Salzburg and get a little history. You go to the church where there was the wedding in The Sound of Music and it was the most beautiful church I have ever seen!! Highly recommend this tour. No complaints!! We loved the tour guide!!!!

The impressive mountain scenery and the beautiful landscape of the Berchtesgadener Land will definitely fascinate you. Our tour will offer you the opportunity to pay a visit at the NS Documentation Center on Obersalzberg. A special bus and lift then take you up to the Kehlsteinhaus at an altitude of 1,834m where you will be rewarded with spectacular views. Our guide will give a comprehensive summary of the historical events and answer any questions. Afterwards, we will have a short stop in the town of Berchtesgaden. The return journey via the German alpine road shows you the impressive valleys of Bavaria. In the event of bad weather conditions (fog, ice, snow) which make a trip up to the Kehlsteinhaus impossible, we offer the visit of the Berchtesgaden salt mines as an alternative.
Inclusions: Air-conditioned vehicle, Live-Guide in English, A lot of interesting historical information, Guided Tour in Berchtesgaden town, Organisation of the bustickets up to the Eagle's Nest
Exclusions: No food and beverage at the restaurants., no hotel pickup, entrance fee for the special bus and lift up to the Eagle's Nest incl.NS Doku-Center(28 Euro/person)
The trip was very panoramic. Our guide was very knowledgeable. The tour inside Neuschwanstein wasn't up to my expectations: crowded, not personalized, instructions sometimes hard to understand, and you barely see any of the castle. Linderhof is small, but very pretty.

This private 8-hour tour will show you the highlights of the Bavarian Mountains. Your private driver-guide will take you to the very best of Bavarian Mountains with its world famous attractions, such as the Eagle’s Nest (or Rossfeld summit), the salt mines, the town of Berchtesgaden and Kingslake (Koenigssee). From about Nov to April (depends on the snow condition of the year), the Eagle's Nest direct access road is closed, alternatively we offer to visit the Rossfeld summit instead. From this vantage point, soak in panoramic views of the stunning Austrian and Bavarian Alps and the nearby Eagle's Nest. Feel free to choose this option also when Eagle's Nest is opened if you prefer a much less crowded, more local site than the Eagle's Nest.
Inclusions: Private chauffeur/guide, Luxury minivan, Hotel pick up and drop-off, Bottled water, Air-conditioned vehicle

Amazing landscapes, hidden spots and great conversation learning about local culture and customs -all that on top of gorgeous Hallstatt. Lena was so generous with advice and flexibility. She also helped us book the right place for lunch and provided all advice needed for our own exploration of Hallstatt. Definitely the proper way to visit this iconic town from Salzburg!

Idyllic Lake Königssee Located in southeastern Bavaria, Lake Königssee lies at the foot of Mount Watzmann in the heart of the Berchtesgaden Alpine National Park. During the quiet crossing by electric boat to the idyllic island of St. Bartholomew, you will not only hear the impressive echo but you will also learn interesting facts about the mountain lake itself. The trip provides time for you to hike and enjoy the beautiful landscape as well. The Berchtesgaden salt mine, in continuous operation since 1517, is only about 20 minutes away. Dressed in period mining gear, you begin the exciting tour (approx. 90 min. long) through the salt-laden mountain by riding in on the mine train. Other highlights are the miners’ slides, a raft ride across the subterranean “Mirror Lake,” and the Salt Cathedral.
Inclusions: Air-conditioned vehicle, Restroom on board, Live guide in English and German
Exclusions: Boat ride fee, Entrance fee to the salt mines
Great day trip from Munich. I always wondered why so many fairy tales originate from Germany. Well, all those castles answer the questions.

Embark on a guided tour of Berchtesgaden Mountains, Hitler's mountain retreat and the southern headquarters of the Nazi party on a full day coach trip from Munich. Eagle's Nest is a mountain top lodge built by the Nazis, and is a fascinating sight of historical significance. Located at 6,148 feet (1,834 meters) on top of Mt Kehlstein, the lodge has some of Germany's most amazing views of the Alps mountain range. Ironically, Hitler suffered from vertigo and rarely took pleasure in the views.
Inclusions: Air-conditioned vehicle, Professional guide
Exclusions: Entrance fees (approx 20 Euros), Food and drinks, unless specified, Gratuities, Hotel pickup and drop off

This tour was not my list even though I knew about it. It rained so we did it. OH MY GOD, wow that was time well spent. The travel distance going into the mine was unbelieveable. Seemed it went on forever. The slide was so smooth, something you can not do in the states, we went down as a family. That was fun to be together to experience. Well worth your time. In fact we are going back to the region and I have researched other salt mines and we are going to them also.

The guide was very friendly and answered all of the tour's questions. She was very knowledgeable about Bratislava's history and recommended some traditional food as well as a few local cafes and restaurants (we followed her guide and we loved the food, of course). The driver was also outgoing and seemed interested in Malta's culture, cuisine and lifestyle. We also had a change to stop by the palace on the other side of the road to see the beauty of Bratislava from a panoramic vantage point. I recommend spending 20-25 minutes here to take some photos. Overall I highly recommend this day trip if you have a free day in Vienna. You will probably feel quite tired after the excursion, so you can ask the driver to drop you by Stadpark for a superb end to your day. FYI: The driver will pick you up at your accomodation and will drop you off wherever you want in Vienna (which is a bonus). Thank you to the organizers and all of the staff involved!

Wonderful tour by a knowledgeable guide before the castle tour! He had obviously done his research and was able to add more, and more historically accurate, details. Lots of "fun" facts, too (I had no idea what BMW stood for or why the logo looks looks like it does. I do now!). He knows all the best spots for pictures and the best times to get them in before the next tour groups arrive. Skipping the line for the castle tour tickets was a real plus. Highly recommend!
