Abruzzo (pronounced [aˈbruttso]) is a region of Central Italy, with an area of 10,763 square km (4,156 sq mi) and a population of 1.2 million. Its western border lies 80 km (50 mi) east of Rome. The region is divided into the four provinces of L'Aquila, Teramo, Pescara, and Chieti. Abruzzo borders the region of Marche to the north, Lazio to the west and south-west, Molise to the south-east, and the Adriatic Sea to the east. Geographically, Abruzzo is divided into a mountainous area to the west, which includes the Gran Sasso D'italia, and a coastal area to the east with beaches on the Adriatic sea. Abruzzo is partially considered culturally, linguistically, historically, and economically a region of Southern Italy, although geographically it may also be considered central. The Italian Statistical Authority (ISTAT) deems it to be part of Southern Italy, partially because of Abruzzo's historic association with the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies.

Exciting and unique experience, history, culture, art and food and wine in unique and unforgettable places. The tour is unique because with the comfortable e-bikes we cross the centuries during which Orvieto has become the jewel we know: the Rocca di Albornoz, the visit to the Underground, the Piazza del Duomo with a stop at Cantina Foresi, the visit at the Piazza del Popolo with the beautiful Palazzo del Popolo, the alleys with the artisans 'shops that have handed down an ancient art for generations, the Piazza della Repubblica called Sant' Andrea with the church of the same name, the oldest in Orvieto, where the four different civilizations that are superimposed are clearly visible, the pause on the terrace that looks to the southwest on an extraordinary panorama, the medieval quarter and finally the ring of the ring at the base of the Rupe. With e-bikes it is beautiful, ecological and fun, suitable for everyone, a form of "slow tourism" to live an experience to remember and tell.
Inclusions: Visit to the Underground, Use of bicycle, Stop with wine and food tasting at Cantina Foresi, an ancient wine cellar dug out of the tuff, We supply the masks, gloves and gel, the bikes are sanitized before and after each use

Paulo was an amazing guide! He met us at the Piazza Cahen and we bikes through the hills of Tuscany, Umbria and on to Civita. Paulo was warm and friendly and gave us much information about the history of Orvieto and Civita. We stopped at a monastery, a castle, had a snack in a small town and then to magical Civita. I’m so glad we did this trip with a guide as we learned so much more than just going on our own. The last stop of our trip was at a family owned winery in Orvieto where we got a tour of the wine room and sampled 2 wines, had local meats and cheeses, pork, potatoes and sweets. This was money well spent and the most favorite part of our trip! The Ebikes were easy to use and made our 6 hour trip and many uphill climbs easy!! Must do trip! Thank you, Paulo!!

The e-bike experience in Civita called "Castello nel Cielo" is unique. Just outside Orvieto you pass through the ancient Badia and then go up the plateau which from the ancient Dimora di Collevento through Canale and then Boccetta leads to Bagnoregio, accompanied only by the rustle of a breeze that keeps the air clear here in all seasons , clean and fresh. The images that can be fixed in these places of great beauty, where the panoramas offer views of vineyards, olive trees, pastures and woods are a joy for the eyes. Farmhouses and cellars meet along the path where you can buy the real typical products of the place. Then the arrival at the Civita belvedere is indescribable, a glance that leaves you breathless. The visit to the village, a set of famous films, is a continuous emotion, with its premises, artisan shops, perfumes, essences ... We return by stopping at the Belvedere of the Terrazza Farnese, from where the Orvieto cliff can be admired in all its majesty and elegance
Inclusions: It is offered in a typical tavern in the village of Civita, a basic snack of typical local products, cheeses, cured meats, bruschetta and local wines, Use of bicycle, Entrance ticket to the village of Civita., We supply the masks, gloves and gel, the bikes are sanitized before and after each use

This was our first time on E bikes and we thoroughly enjoyed our morning tour of Orvieto. The bikes were great - easy to use and they whizzed us around the city effortlessly. But it was Elena's tour, which was informative, fun and comprehensive which made it such a memorable experience. We stopped at various viewpoints and places around the city and Elena gave us a wonderful insight into the history of this amazing place, as well as her personal recommendations of restaurants and things to do after the tour. Our tour included a visit to 'Orvieto Underground' which was also very interesting. We really didn't want the tour to end! We will definitely take another tour with Orvieto Bike Tours when we are back in Orvieto. I say 'when' and not 'if'; the bike tour alone is the only reason you need to visit Orvieto!

With us you can immerse yourself in the ancient history of this land, from the Etruscan civilization to the Middle Ages until the Renaissance, visiting sites and places where you can breathe a mixture of legend and truth. Here, where people still love and preserve the ancient traditions, in the handicraft, in the cultivation of the products of the earth, it is possible to get excited simply listening to the silence of these villages and gazing at panoramas of rolling hills on which Torri, Castelli and Rocche stand out. In these places warriors and condottieri have written pages of history, cultures met and clashed, each time helping to enrich a civilization born 3,000 years ago. The foods in these places are the testimony of an enogastronomic variety in which the contaminations have brought to the excellences of which today we can enjoy
Inclusions: Use of bicycle, This is not a real lunch, but rather tastings of typical products with tastings of local wines, all in an exceptional environment, such as the Cantine Palazzone., Entrance ticket to the Castello d 'Alfina and the Bosco del Sasseto, We supply the masks, gloves and gel, the bikes are sanitized before and after each use

The Church of St. Francis hosts the testimony of the oldest Eucharistic miracle of the Catholic world. We wished we could see Pope Francis but we could never expected we could see him so closely thanks to Rossana great effort. Rossana and our driver Luigi are both great persons and the visit to the Pope very well organized. They both were professional, supportive, engaging and very helpful. Rossana took really a great effort to make the visit tailored to our needs and she had great sense of humour. Big thanks to R and L. We would highly recommend this tour.

What a trip! Adam, our driver, was fabulous. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The day went according to plan and we had marvellous visits to both the extensive complex of Villa Adriana and then taken up the hill to Villa d’Este and its magnificent water gardens. Thoroughly recommend this out of Rome trip although pre-trip communication from the local provider could be improved.

I have spent an exciting morning with Lorenza in Bologna together with my family. We visited some of the most interesting objectives of the old city, enjoying Lorenza’s stories which only a local can know. If you want to learn about “children of the wheel”, “penguin priests”, “Galvani’s book” or how the portico’s appeared, then do not hesitate to contact Lorenza and she will entertain you with her vast knowledge and great sense of humor!
