At Ullstorp we have small and large cottages for rent with a focus on nature, health and eco-tourism. Natural, child-friendly and sustainable are our key words. Our cozy cottages are located outside of Höör, in the middle of Skåne, deep in the forest. Here you only hear the birds, the wind blowing in the leaves, the water rippling and the natural soothing silence (and the rooster with his hens of course). We offer near-nature experiences, swimming in the lake, bike rides on country roads, fishing in the ponds, cuddling with our rabbits and feeding the chickens. Next to the cottages there are pastures with grazing animals like goat, sheep, cow, rabbits and hens.
Such a gorgeous place! Loved seeing the animals each morning and walk/running the red route through the forest. We had friends staying in 3 other cabins so each night we'd sit outside with drinks while the kids played. Dreamy! Definitely recommend checking out the local animal park, nun cloister and swimming lakes. Bring mosquito spray, the bugs can be brutal!

Beautiful surroundings for trail walking and bath if the weather are warm. Easy to find a spot “of your own” in the camping site. Very good standard and service in rest rooms and kitchen. 10 minute walk to the village Skärhamn where there’s nice restaurants.

Mälarhusen Stugby is a holiday resort with 23 modern family bungalows at the southern part of Sweden. Mälarhusen Stugby is close to the beach. Mälarhusen strand and Sandhammaren beach is famous for its White sand and long beaches. 10 km from Mälarhusen Stugby is Kåseberga and the famous Ales Stones. We are situated 30 minutes from Ystad and 20 minutes away from Simrishamn.
This pivate cabin is nicely located. However, hot water ran out right away and we had to finish taking a shower with cold water. There was no shampoo, conditioner or soaps. Just a hand wash so be sure to pack accordingly. You need to clean everything before you leave or order and pay for them to clean. Bed sheets, towels, etc are all extras so we found the place a bit expensive considering what we got. Also, the water container looked as if it needs to replaced as soon as possible.

A boutique hotel only 16min drive from Gothenburg airport, nestled in the woods on the shore of a lake. Suitable for business travellers, holidaying families or romantic weekends. Accommodation in private wooden cottages or an apartment in the main villa, with an uncluttered Scandinavian design. Large bathrooms with walk-in shower. The cottages have self-contained kitchens.
I had the pleasure of visiting Evika / Mario for a wedding; I don’t think we could have found a better venue. The location is idyllic, offering stunning views of the beautiful natural scenery, this alone would’ve been all that was needed, however the host Mario then took it to a whole extra level of service. Every room had little chocolate treats stashed for the guests to enjoy, we were regaled with stories and tales from Marios past life (I won’t give it away however you will not fail to be in awe of just what he’s done!) and to top it all off we had a great swim in the lake! Mario knew exactly when to be present and when to blend in and allow the guests to party! I feel like I’ve known him for much longer than the time I have!

Safsen resort is a ski resort on a hill, with a lake on the foot of the hill. In summer you can also rent one of the stuga's (wooden cottages). Safsen is near Frederiksberg. Our Dutch touroperator said it was a village, but unfornunately it is a real small village, with one seventies style mini supermarket (COOP) that sells lots of things for reasonable prices (beware of the wrongly placed pricetags), a school, a youth hostel and 3 cafes. If you need a Bancomat or something that the COOP does not sell you have to drive 50 minutes to Hagfors, Mora or Ludvika to get it. The environment is nice for biking, but the resort does not rent out e-bikes, You can rent a normal Mountainbike for 5 days for 1240 SEK or a fully suspension mountainbike for 1690 SEK (see photo of pricelist). This means that renting 4 mountainbikes is more expensive than renting the stuga. At this resort you see a lot of people with bike carriers for 4 bikes attached to their cars. We decided to rent an aluminium rowing boat instead and rowed to the islands in the lake. The stuga was cosy without a view and without privacy because a walking path was 1 meter next to it. The stuga did not have a sauna. The Stuga had a router but no wifi and an enormous 4K TV, that almost obstructed the door to the veranda. There is a mini dishwasher and our Microwave didn't work at first. It was possible to get 4G data through your mobile phone and there is wifi near the reception. At the reception only very young people are present who can speak English and (sometimes) Dutch, but they don't seem to understand what a family likes on a vacation. There is also some kind of horse stable without horses. The nearest horses are 50 minutes way in Eksharad. The resort has problems with vandalism. After our neighbours left, someone opened the cleaning cabinet and put a broomstick on the roof (see photo). The islands in the lake are visited in the evening by teenagers in fishing boats, who hang out there. There is one laundry with 2 washing machines and two dryers. This laundry is mentioned nowwhere (not even on the door of the laundry), but you can ask at reception where you can make a reservation for a two hour period, for example 9 pm till 11 pm in the evening, as we did. You get the key of the laundry and we had to pay 40 SEK for this. Before leaving we had to pay 950 SEK or clean the Stuga ourselves. Because the stuga is not big, we chose to clean it ourselves.

I went here with my parents for dinner, my mom had been sick all day, but she left with a major smile on her face!! They serve eco and local sourced food, and boy did Hanna outperform herself with the food she served us. You could see that the 3 course meal they served was made with people whom know that food is about the quality of the ingredients and should be cooked with passion...I think I should stop writing compliments before people believe this is a fake message, but as you might think my parents and me recommend this place for SURE!!

Hotell Siljanstrand is located at the shore of lake Siljan. The hotel is housed in an old farmhouse with 20 large and small buildings, the oldest is one of Sweden's best-preserved timber houses from 1332. All rooms are newly renovated with new bathrooms, comfortable beds, LED TVs and free wireless internet. Some have extra sofa beds and massage baths and have an expansive view of lake Siljan and the beautiful surroundings. The hotel also has its own mini golf course, free parking, lounge and sauna. The on-site restaurant, Bykrogen, serves à la carte on Wednesday to Saturday from 17:00. Here you will find delicious dishes and a variety of beverages in a cozy setting and with a nice terrace overlooking the lake. The hotel is located just 100 meters from the village center with a traditional swedish maypole, old-timey building and shops. Here is the true Dalarna!
We have been to Dalarna many times and stayed in many places, but this was by far the best. Built using old buildings that are completely modernized inside and new buildings with log exteriors that look old, our room was large and comfortable with a lovely view of the lake. Weekdays at this time of year (late September) are quiet. There was only one other couple there, so check in sometimes required making a call to get Mats to come down, but everyone was so friendly and helpful.

Great location, quaint and traditional swedish house and a pretty garden. Fully equipped kitchen. Excellent communication with host. The loft in the main house is super cozy! The smaller cabins on the property is close to the main house and look cozy too. Highly recommended.
