A great place to explore PEI

I stayed here 3 nights with my wife. We stayed in the cottage which was really great. Everything was clean and came with a kitchen and even had cutlery, pots, pans and everything else you need to cook your own food and eat. The view was great as well and saw some nice sunset. Great place to base your activities around Cavendish, close by to everything. We even got a 100 dollar gift card which was a delightful surprise!

Great rate for a nice, simple room. Easy check in, and just as advertised. The decor in the room matches the area, very quaint & homey. Bed was reasonably comfortable, and the facilities were adequate - didn’t mind the slow-draining shower, but my girlfriend did ?‍♂️ Overall a nice spot, would repeat! A beautiful spot in the country

Nice Stay and good location

Reviewed By AnneTravellingBrit

We were in the motel, it was private, quiet, clean, with a view of the the lighthouse and the woods, our room looked newly renovated. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom although small was clean. It had a mini kitchenette with a small fridge & microwave. There was a bbq on the deck. Good wi fi and easy parking. Convenient location for exploring the area and about a 5 minute drive to Brackley Beach. On our first evening we drove about 20 minutes to the town of Rustico and enjoyed some excellent fish & chips in a restaurant called By the Bay.

Nice Stay

Stayed at this cottage for a couple nights this weekend. Booking process was extremely easy. Staff members was very friendly and helpful! We stayed at the Blue Heron Cottage, which was clean and cozy, however not very well insulated. On both nights were a family party outside and really loud, We could hear them quite easily which was a bit frustrating. The cottages and park has long grass growing that could be cleaned and maintained to make it look a little more clean. If ypu dont care about that kinda stuff, I highly recommend this place, very easy access to Cavendish, everything that you need is there (Forks, knives, plates, soap, etc)

"Anna Is Awesome"

Reviewed By Hershlail

Loved this place! Stayed for 15 nights! Travelled with a small dog that needed treatment at the Veterinary University. Anna and her husband and daughter are very inviting and sweet. Anna went out of her way to accommodate us. Other guest said there was a language barrier, but if you care to take the time, it's very easy to communicate with her! She allowed access to the Large upstairs kitchen area, if guests wanted to prepare meals to sit and eat! She even took the time to wash some of our clothing items for us! Also, I left my i-pad charger behind and she text me for my mailing address so they could ship it home to me! Our room was in the basement. There are 2 rooms available for rent on this level. Each Room has a large private bathroom off the bedroom. Private living area off the bedroom which includes a sofa, chair and coffee table. 60 inch Smart TV. As well as a kitchen table and 4 chairs. Each room and living area are separated by the stairways. So it makes your area private. Common Kitchen area in the basement shared with guests on this level. Kitchen has a large fridge a toaster and microwave. Our room was very spacious with queen size bed, a single bed and large 55 inch Smart TV with free access to Netflix, Roku, live TV and much more! Wifi signal strength was very good! No buffering at all! Large private bathroom off the bedroom. No Ac in basement but there is no need for it, fans in the rooms served the purpose. The temperature everyday was high 20's and low 30's. We were never too warm, the basement was very cool and comfortable. AC is on the other levels. The other room on this level had a queen size bed, a single bed and a futon. Could easily accommodate 5 people. Rooms on other levels very spacious and nicely decorated. Nice sitting area on the front. Back also has a sitting area over looking the water. Very nice and relaxing. Grounds were well maintained. Right next to Charlottetown. Just 6-7 minutes down the road and across the bridge and you are in Charlottetown. Groceries, Gas, Liquor dollar store 5 minutes away! Nimrods and Phinley's Diner and Dairy bar just down the road. Very good food and reasonably priced. Toco Boyz and McDonald's also in the same area. Several beaches close by. Peakes Warf is a must place to visit! Dave's Lobster rolls were the best! A little pricey but well worth it. We done the Harbour Hippo Tour, well worth the $35.00 for the 55 minute tour! Will definitely be staying at this place when we return again! .

Close to summer attractions during the summer months. Nothing is open in Oct for those traveling in the fall. Cottages could use some work... front screen door wouldn't shut or latch... stove burners not working... coffee maker not working...bathroom door doesn't shut... general upkeep required. Staff refused to provide refund or partial compensation after we decided to cut our visit at this place short due to personal circumstances and gave the staff plenty of notice. And if you drive a pickup...its a 4 point turn to get parked...lol

spacious, clean, all you need in great location

We arrived after Labour Day and so got to enjoy having the grounds mostly to ourselves. Felix met us when we arrived, after that it was mostly ourselves, the only down side to that was the pool being unheated in late season, twas too cold for me. The two horses were always a pleasure to look out on, and one time i saw a large covey of partridge along the fence. Looking across at North Rustico was always a pleasure, especially as the last light lingers on there. Moon rise beautiful in same direction. You could see the kites from surfers zipping by in the distance. From 'the deck' restaurant in N Rustico you could see back to the cottage in the distance if you knew where to look. The cabin was spacious, only complaint was that I had to be close to the laundry room to get wifi to hang in. Being just a couple of minutes to the north rustico general store/bakery/seafood shop and liquor store was a bonus as well as just a good location in general for getting about PEI. The bike lane was being added as was fresh asphalt on a lot of PEI roads. a lot of the TA questions re public areas do not apply to this property.

Like staying with an old friend

Reviewed By L2827GDjens

Booking here again for the end of summer 2022. The cottages are adorable and clean, staff is very friendly and it’s only a 15 minute walk to the beach. I was initially worried that they didn’t have air conditioning, but the breeze that comes off the ocean cools them right down in the evenings and they’re very comfortable. We’ll be back for sure!
