Boasting Medieval fortresses, Roman aqueducts, Mediterranean coastline, endless vineyards and expansive national parks, a visitor could spend a lifetime exploring sunny Languedoc-Rousillon. Sitting on the geographic divide between the Iberian peninsula and mainland Europe, the regions towns and cities, including beautiful Carcassonne, Nimes and Montpellier, are connected by paths both ancient and new. Hike Via Domitia, a Roman road, or rent a barge for a trip down the Canal du Midi.

Small intimate cooking school offering one-day cooking classes on sun-drenched Provencal and Mediterranean food and classic French cuisine. We also offer cheese and wine matching courses. Based in Uzes - one of the prettiest towns in the South of France.
Just returned from an epic gastronomic trip to France. Over a couple of months, I spent many hours in various cooking classes tying to soak up the essence of French cuisine. Le Pistou was one of the days where a great teacher - thank you Petra - great classmates and a sense of shared learning and fun, combined to create a French cooking experience I’d highly recommend to any-one. Uzes itself was a surprise too. Very cute with loads of speciality shops and character. Petra added many stories whilst we all enjoyed the fruits of our labours with some wonderful wines. Cook, learn, laugh and leave with a smile on your face - Le Pistou will do all that for you whether you attend on your own or with others.

Last weekend I participated in an on-line class with Chef Eric . What fun...informative, too! We were sent the recipes for Fish in Papillote and Caleriac in Papillote. The recipes are well-written and easy to follow, but there is nothing like watching a chef actually working through all the steps. I have taken many classes at Cook'n with Class in Paris and never been disappointed, but until we can return to France again, this is a really nice alternative. I highly recommend Chef Eric's on-line classes.

Classes include Indian, Mexican and BBQ cooking, covering both traditional dishes and street food. Vegetarians catered for. Learn how to make breads like naan, chapatis or fresh corn tortillas. Learn all about Indian spices and Mexican chillies. Together we can cook onion bhajis, samosas and curry in an Indian class. I recently visited Adele’s beautiful house for my 4th cooking class, however this time cooking Mexican food (previously Indian cuisine). Adele is a great teacher, and the classes are catered for all levels of cooking ability. She is very organized in having everything prepped in advance of the class, including handy print-out sheets, with full recipes to take home. It’s clear that Adele puts a lot of time and effort into the class structure and recipes. I’ll definitely return for another class.
