Chez Klio -Maui Cooking Class

Reviewed By JudyG1227

This was the second all-day class (9-3:30 ish) we have taken and the instruction and facilities, combined with Chef Yasko's expertise were outstanding.. We were welcomed with an apple pastry and coffee or tea while we reviewed the menu. Our class made Oven roasted Kule Pork Salad,Yunnanish tofu,Lilikoi pork ribs, and steamed buns. Each of had our own complete station with all the necessary specialty ingredients and utensils. The Chef's prep for this was amazing and while we sometime each had 7-10 ingredients, the work areas were beautifully organized and never became cluttered or messy. It's difficult to explain just how beautifully this class was organized. Every utensil was immaculate, every knife sharp, every ingredient fresh. There were five of us in this group along with Chef and a helper. We've taken classes all over the world and Chez Klio is certainly among the best.

We took a mini class with Linda on Hawaiian favorites and she was nice enough to open up a new class for us. The experience from beginning to end was entertaining and educational. We are foodies and cooking class junkies. Linda’s class was unique and her style laid back and engaging. She makes you feel comfortable and valued. We learned how to make some common Hawaiian classics and had a delicious meal at the end of class. I will definitely book another class next trip to HI ! Thank you chef Linda !

Who knew a coconut was such a magical, sustainable fruit? We learned so much about coconuts on this tour. Everyone had an awesome experience (2, 4, 6, 38, 39 years old - fun for all ages!) It was great to explore a new area of Maui. Ryan's farm is so beautiful and he has such a great story. We all enjoyed tasting the different ages of coconut, learning how to make coconut noodles and milk and eating out of coconut husk bowls. Highly recommend!

Wow! This was hands down my favorite part of our entire trip to Kauai, and we did a lot of amazing things!! I absolutely loved how authentic and unique this experience was. We were welcomed onto a private organic farm where we got to learn all about the tropical plants and foods around us. We got to harvest fruit off the tree and veggies right out of the ground, taking them straight to the kitchen. What a special experience! The farm is absolutely stunning. Our teacher knew so much about vegan cuisine and raw vegan lifestlye, the plants. She is also an ayurvedic health coach, which she weaves into the class, especially if you ask. We made SUCH a delicious meal - homemade pesto zoodles, coconut bacon bits, and a decadent raw vegan lime cheesecake for dessert. What more could we ask for?! DEFINITELY do not miss out on this Kauai experience! Bring the whole family! You will not regret it.

Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with de Ipsum.
