Synagogues, mosques and churches stand together in Toledo's historic quarter, a testament to the medieval Spanish city's diverse history. The four towers of The Alcazar, a fortress built in 1085, dominate the skyline. Toledo and its surrounding countryside inspired El Greco, and his paintings are on display in many places around the city, including the museum that bears his name.

This noble house is placed in the heart of Toledo's historical centre, a World Heritage Site and is known as the "Imperial City" or "City of the Three Cultures". It was founded in the 16th-Century as the headquarters of "The Mozarabes Knights Brotherhood". It has been recognized as a "Heritage of Cultural Interest" and neatly restored preserving traditional details. The building consists of 6 beautiful apartments, which overlook a traditional Toledan courtyard. They are bright, spacious, fully equipped and outward-facing with nice views to the typical and narrows Toledo streets and the " Toledo Typical Patio "... It is located near Zocodover square, the famous Cathedral and many excellent museums and monuments. Its doors are open for anyone who looks for a quiet and peaceful place to recall medieval times and legends.
The Casa is situated at the historic center of Toledo, only 5 mins walk to Plaza Zocodover. It could be a great experience to stay at a historic building so close to tourist attractions. However, a series of mismanagement on the hotel side made it my worst experience in Spain. Our reservation was 2 nights during the x'mas/new year break. When we arrived: - Other hotel guests arrived earlier could not get their keys from the check-in machine; - We could get our keys, but the keys could not open the door; - We had to call the front desk, which was located at the other hotel of the same chain. We waited 30-40 mins to get our keys. - When we opened our doors, none of the rooms were cleaned; - The compensation was free breakfast at the other hotel. Oh well, it was 20 mins walk at the other side of Toledo (up and down the hill); - Our room was very cold (being at the ground floor may aggravate the issue); - When we asked for an extra blanket, the staff on the other side of the phone kept saying there should be one in a 'drawer'. She asked us to go look for it but there was no such drawer; - When I tried to call again, no one picked up; I waited at the phone area, below freezing, with no AC/heater at 9pm for 30 mins. Oh well, we turned the heaters to the highest but we were still cold the whole night. We asked again for the blanket which was at our room door the second night. However, it was too little too late. Both of us caught a bad cold after a freezing night. If you still want to stay in this place, my advice is: Don't stay during the winter; Don't stay during holiday seasons; And wish yourself luck that you don't need anything extra from the hotel

It all started with a dream and continuous daydreaming in getting my small boutique hotel... They say the impossible just takes a little more to get. During my career, traveling through different countries, knowing cultures and staying in a multitude of accommodations, I learned that the real charm is in the small details, in the things that almost can't see but that touch our soul, simplicity but in good taste. I realized that we need to live with emotion and that emotion comes from the hand of the little things; a sunset impossible, lying on top of a mountain and look at the stars, the smell of wet earth, walk facing the sea, the person we want, his hands paused breathing... the care of those who do not know and yet they crave because we feel like home... I look for my dream come true in every person who comes to visit us. I am passionate about the sincere hospitality, which worries about the small details. I invite you to delve into accommodation that is my passion. An illusion that I try to understand the life pleasing guests. Come to Toledo and pamper yourself... "if it is good to live, it is still better to dream and best of all is to awaken... Sweet dreams
I very much enjoyed my stay in one of the Apartamentos Cervantes - "Alcazar". They are all located just a minute away from Zocodover square, which is the heart and soul of Toledo, with plenty of great bars and restaurants in few minutes walking distance. The Alcazar is just few minutes walking distance and it partially visible from the apartment, too. Although very well and centrally located, surroundings are calm, there was no noise during the night. The apartment was very clean and comfortable, great for both, short and longer stays, too. The garage space was very handy, given the problems with parking in Toledo and it comes for free with the stay! What truly stands out was the dedication put by the hostese - Isabel - who made sure I had a comfortable stay.

Apartments Casas de los Reyes , are located within the walled city next to the door hinge.Have 1 or 2 bedroomsThey are fully equipped, tastefully decorated to feel like home.

The location was good. It is a 10 minute walk to the centre of the historic town. There were several bars and restaurants nearby. The underground parking was an easy walk, made accessible by a series of escalators. We did not stay at the Rincon de Toledo, however that is what we booked. We were met and taken to an entirely different apartment. When I questioned the host about this, she responded very curtly that the apartment we had booked had incurred some damage in the recent storms, and she had every right to change the booking. I feel it would have been professional if she had advised us of the change, rather than presenting us with a 'take it or leave it' situation, particularly as she had several days in which to do so. The communication from the host was less than expected and I asked 3 times for the name of the nearest car park. She refused to email me the name or location of it, saying always that I was to phone her 30 mins before reaching Toledo and she would tell me on the phone. Frankly that doesn't suit everyone, (particularly as her spoken English is very poor) and I wanted to put the address in the SatNav so I had some clue of where I was going prior to arriving in an unknown town, . Upon arrival, I found the host to be rude and abrupt. She berated my partner for not speaking Spanish (we have lived here for just 1 year), and she spoke down to us. The request/demand for 150euros deposit came as a surprise, and when I mentioned that usually the deposit is paid to Booking.com, she replied 'then how would I get the money'. This put me on the alert and I quickly took a photographic inventory of the apartment. I repeated the same photos on the day of departure as evidence. Unfortunately my gut instinct proved to be right, so after we got home I gave it a week before gently reminding her about the deposit, then a second and 3rd reminder. No responses to those email, or texts, NO REFUND of the deposit!! Strange, as she had been very quick to respond to my previous emails and texts !! I reported all this to Booking.com and they were completely professional and took the case up with the host.
