Well appointed apartments in prime position
Reviewed By paulr771Thea is beautifully positioned overlooking the harbour. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable with everything well thought through by the owner. Each has a balcony with great views of the harbour. The owner, Panos, was very friendly and helpful, meeting us from the ferry and making sure everything was perfect. He was very careful about COVID. The breakfast was self service with a good variety of food and drink stocked in the room, including eggs, milk and bread replenished everyday. There was a kettle and toaster and even a complimentary bottle of wine on the first day. The air conditioning was quiet and effective and the room was cleaned everyday, and towels and linen, including beach towels changed when necessary. I'm almost reluctant to recommend in case we want to return and find it too popular.

Family run small Apart-Hotel. Just 5 minutes walk from the center of Symi town with magnificent view. All rooms with private terrace and sea view. Our purpose making your Holiday in Symi the best you ever had!

Reviewed By Elsie105We loved our stay here, the studio was more like a little house with 3 different outdoor areas to lounge or dine in and generous air conditioned living areas inside. Sevasti is a really wonderful host, her English is excellent and she is very kind and knowledgeable. Nothing is too much trouble for either her or her husband. There is only one proviso to staying here, you need to be a bit fitter than we are. But for those who don't mind a few extra steps, the views that await you are terrific. There are full kitchen facilities, and Sevasti advised us that the shops will deliver to the door. I stupidly lost my wallet which had my passport in it, and Sevasti rang the police station for me. Luckily someone handed in the passport and her husband drove me there to pick it up, meaning we were just in time to catch our ferry on to Rhodes that day. Phew! Thanks to you both for a wonderful stay.

Reviewed By Blorens1Nikolitsi studios in Harani Yialos Symi is as close to perfect as is possible. Great location great restaurant next door (Tholos). Beach round the corner (Paradise aka Nos ). Mine host is an absolute Angel . Her name is Fotini - she picked us up from the ferry and delivered us back to the ferry when we left at 4.15am in her car. Although the accommodation is room only coffees and wonderful food kept arriving suprisingly by Fotini. Such kindness and generosity makes you feel like one of the family . Linen changed often. Bottled water in the fridge kept appearing. Accommodation 10 Fotini 11

too basic and cold showers
Reviewed By Roel vUnfortunately our stay at Marika was disappointing. Upon arrival we were met by a nice lady who gave us the keys to our room. The room itself was okay, but very basic. Price was not basic. Bathroom was far too small. Shower was so small that you had the shower curtain all over you and you need to hold the shower in your hand. There was only cold water on 4 mornings of our 5 nights stay which was very annoying and they did nothing to solve this problem. For the same price you can get much better places to sleep in Symi.

Disappointed
Reviewed By 415joannasOn arrival, we were put in another apartment as the top flat we had booked (2 years ago) had someone else in it - despite a confirmation email to the contrary. Not good news when you have had a long journey. Access to the top apartment is very difficult for anyone with any mobility issues (42 steps from the road). The only nice things about the Captains Suites is the view and the lady who cleans the rooms. Serious health and safety issues with the flat. We had an electric shock off the kettle and were worried about the amazing joke wiring. How do you get out if there's a fire? We paid the same rate as we did for a 5* hotel (with breakfast) in Rhodes.

The view from the balcony will take your breath away. Good kitchen facilities. Amazing traditional tavernas, bars and coffee shops all reasonably priced within walking distance. Reviewed By Julience75Nous sommes arrivés par hasard à Maravelia, en cherchant une chambre à Symi. Nous avons beaucoup aimé ce lieu, situé dans une vielle maison, à quelques mètres du port. La chambre est spacieuse et confortable, il y a l’air conditionné, une kitchenette et un frigo. La salle de bain suffisante. Le gros bonus du lieu: la terrasse qui offre une vue magnifique sur le port et la ville. La dame qui nettoie la propriété est adorable. Petite amélioration à prévoir: une éponge, du sel et du poivre ! :)

NO RESPECT NO HOSPITALITY AND A LIAR
Reviewed By Princess1124Spare yourself the trouble and do not bother going to the property. Upon my arrival with my family I had booked two rooms one with an ocean view and another with supposedly a Mountain View which someone cannot even call that Mountain View it was more of a view with a little run down houses. The hostess who greeted us there asked us to pay her upfront without us even having settled in yet. I had told her That I would pay her but she told me that she didn’t have time and just to leave the money in a dresser drawer and she would collect it later. Being that I was totally uncomfortable with the idea I asked where can I find the owner that I would rather pay him in person. The owner owns a souvlaki shop by Symi port. That evening I went to go find this shop with my family and when I found it I offered the owner my debit card to pay for both the rooms and his response was I do not have a machine to scan your card you need to go and find a bank to pay me in cash because I will receive this machine in two weeks. Being that it was not early and the banks were closed I went the very next day and I gave him cash just as he asked. He gladly took the money and did not give me a receipt. I asked him can I please have a receipt and he told me that he did not have the book to write me out a receipt that it was at the property and that he would give it to the hostess to put under my door later on. I did not trust that but I had no choice and I waited but never received anything until I had to email him and ask him several times within my stay to please give me my receipt because I have not gotten it yet he told me not to worry that he would take care of it. Till the day that I left with my family he never gave me my receipt and just took the cash and that was it. I am Greek myself and I’ve been to my country numerous times exploring different islands and I have never received this kind of treatment and he never even cared to ask us if we needed anything or even just to welcome us to his property. Greeks are well known for their warm and their kindness and their hospitality he offered none of that and just lied about giving me my receipt. If you want to have a good experience and a very memorable one do not go there if you have to beg for something that’s initially yours you’re not enjoying your vacation you’re just growing more aggravated and annoyed. I would not recommend this property to anyone at all they offer you absolutely nothing but aggravation. Who tells you to leave money in the drawer and they will collect it later and the owner you they will give you a receipt and that they’ll take care of it and you leave the property and do not receive anything and they have nothing more to say but I’m sorry I’ve been busy or don’t worry I’ll take care of it That is not how business is done, always some kind of excuse either in person or in an email to yourself as favor like I said in the beginning spare yourself. I went twice to find the sky and two times he looked at me like I was some sort of alien just because I came from New York that’s another thing. The island itself is beautiful and worth every penny to see. So far I have gone to Corfu, Leros, Patmos and after Symi currently in Kalymnos everything with the property’s is what it should be!
