The largest of the twelve Dodecanese islands on the Aegean's eastern edge, Rhodes is also its most popular. The well-preserved medieval city of Rhodes sits at the north of the island of the same name. High rise hotels line the northern and eastern coastlines. Small villages and resorts dot the island's other shores. Whether your interests are beaches, bars or ancient sites, Rhodes offers an abundance of all three. Authentic Greece can be found in the hilly interior of the 50-mile-long island.

My boyfriend and I stayed in Kouros hotel for a week. The hotel was lovely, so beautiful designed and very clean. The pool area had enough sun beds and areas to sit. There was a pool bar, which did lovely cocktails and food. Cocktails and food could also be served to you at the pool, if you liked. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming. They all do such a good job. Breakfast was good, continental style and had many choices. We went to the restaurant for one night, the food was lovely but quite pricey. We stayed in two different rooms both spacious, clean and beautifully designed. We asked to move rooms to have a view of the pool as our room was looking over a building site (however this was not getting built on when we were staying). We were given a free upgrade to a room with a hot tub looking over the ocean which was just stunning- thanks to George. The hotel was a short 10/15 minute walk to the Faliraki centre and a 5 min walk to beach. You could walk along the beach going past restaurants and bars, walking into the centre or walk along the street. There is a few small supermarkets around the hotel for food and drinks. We got the boat from the harbour to Rhodes town for the day which I definitely recommend. We also hired a car and went to Lindos which was stunning.

We enjoyed a lovely weeks stay at this small family run hotel over Easter. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel incredibly welcome. The rooms are large, clean, modern and equipped with everything you could need and offer a balcony over looking the pool and are spotlessly clean. Bathroom was clean and modern with a great shower. The hotel is ideally located between the tourist area and beach of Ialyssos and the older traditional part of town know as Trianta. George, Christina and family were so welcoming, friendly and helpful, helping us improve our greek, giving us help with walks and cycling routes and local places to eat and visit. It was lovely getting to know them over a drink at the hotel bar. We would definitely stay here again, we could not fault a thing and the location was perfect. There is a bus stop 2 mins from the hotel to take you to the airport or to Rhodes town, and also a taxi rank right outside. Parking is available on the street around the hotel. The pool area was clean, with plenty of loungers. Easy walk to the beach and the more tourist area and shops, there are plenty of supermarkets close by, we liked MyMarket which was about 10mins walk from the hotel. We would highly recommend To Posperi, Gitonia Mezedokafenes, Κρεοπωλείο εστιατόριο Ο παραγωγός for meals, all located in Trianta and mins walk from the hotel. We walked to Rhodes Town, Filerimos, and Pastida during our stay and rented a car, bike and used buses to get around the island. It was really easy to get around. We really enjoyed our time here, thank you to George and family for making it such a lovely stay.

After a long wait and rescheduling of holidays, finally made it to Hillside in September 2021 for a two week stay. Really enjoyed the pool/jacuzzi and Mirula's breakfasts. Although a little way outside of Faliraki village, this is a very nice family run studio complex. The three course dinners were excellent and varied. All the staff here work hard to make your stay a pleasant one, especially the evening cook and Charlie (shuttle bus) and handyman.

Just returned from a fortnights stay at the Ziakis, it was our second stay here. It’s perfect for our needs as we hire a scooter for the duration, fantastic views over the bay from our sea view room, clean and tidy. The Ziakis are a friendly family, new staff this year at the bar, Stavros and his lovely chef mum Anna who kindly gave me a lesson in making the perfect Greek coffee! Thanks Anna! A big shout out to them for the cold Aplha, tequila shots and great bar food. Stavros you Rock!! Will definitely be back when we next visit beautiful Rhodes island. One love ? Anne Mare & John

Stavros Melathron sits on a private property of 5,500 meters. It is situated at a location known as “Reni”, in the Kallithea area. Our studio is situated within a mere 300 meters distance from Reni beach. No more than six (6) kilometers from downtown Rhodes and the main Port. Stavros Melathron lies within 18 kilometers from Rhodes International Airport (about 20 min. drive), 3 km from the well known “Kallithea Springs” Archeological site, 6 km from “Water Park” in Faliraki, 2 km from the picturesque traditional village “Koskinou”, 5 km from the Medieval Town. A comprehensive network of bus connections (bus stop 100m away) ensures frequent services to the complex, also accessible by taxi. Right in the middle of our delightful garden is, for your moments of coolness, a beautiful swimming pool to refresh you in a reflection of the surrounding flowers and trees, contributing to the peacefulness of the whole complex certain to make you relax.
We stayed here on October 5th for a week. We had a great ground floor apartment. Cannot fault this place. Really comfortable beds. Great shower. Loads of storage. The grounds are beautiful. It was quiet when we went and so we had the choice of sunbeds. Pool is large and very clean. The beach is 5 minutes walk from here. The bus to Rhodes town goes from outside the hotel's slip road. Taxi for 4 was €10 to Rhodes town so for us it was the same cost as the bus. My sister and her husband had a leak in the bathroom and were moved to the next apartment with no fuss. The tavernas around the resort were really good and there was a lot more choice than I thought from previous reviews. We did not get a car, we felt we did not need to as we were wanting to go to places we could get the bus to. We took a boat ride from the local beach to Lindos. All in all I loved the Stavros Melathron Apartments...and would recommend with no hesitation.

The reception and bar staff were absolutely amazing. They were so kind, welcoming and friendly. They chatted to my boyfriend and I every day and always made us feel so welcomed. They helped with day tours and renting quad bikes. The food was delicious and the reception area was spotless. However, the shower in the room was TINY you could barely move in it. Also be aware that they only show the 'suites' as opposed to the actual studio rooms which look nothing like the picture. They are very very basic and nothing like the fab interior that are in the pics. This is something you can look pass if you don't want to spend most of your time in your room! My issue was with the owner/manager. As a young Irish girl, I wear fake tan as I cannot tan. So I did stain the sheets the first night due to my fake tan. We agreed with the staff and owner that if it were to happen again I would pay for the sheets, this was not an issue to me. I decided that the maids not change the beds and leave the sheets on and should they be ruined I would pay for those sheets. When leaving the owner pulled me and my boyfriend aside to request €60 for the sheets. I disputed this with her as we agreed I did not have to pay for the sheets from the first night. The owner then brought me down to the laundry room to show me the sheets. I informed her I understood about the sheets but reminder her of our agreement. I saw the two sheets that I ruined with fake tan and had no problem paying for these - this was my fault! However, she then wanted me to pay €5 for each towel that was used! I was in disbelief, it was the end of my holiday and to be honest I didn't have money! (I had enough to pay for the taxi to the airport and to get something to eat). She then asked me if I had a credit card to pay for the €60 for sheets and €5 for each towel bearing in mind I was there for 12 days, so she wanted money for each towel, and I am only 23 I don't own a credit card! I explained that towels get dirty and this was out of my hands - my fake tan had nothing to do with this. She called me rude and berated me for 20 minutes insisting that I pay this money. But to me, she was a business owner with money and it was just greed! We went back to reception and I handed her the €20 for the sheets, which I felt like I did have to pay. The owner then spoke to her daughter about me in front of my boyfriend and I, I felt so uncomfortable! It was such a pity as the rest of our time there had been so pleasant and the rest of the staff were so so lovely.

Full of satisfaction. The special thing that attracted me the most is the beach bar. Nice sunbed right close to the ocean. The staffs were always there walk around to make that you get served. The room is very big, very suitable for travelers with kids or without. The hotel has this isolated kids pool for the family. So, you don't get to hear kids crying to making too much noise in other area. Genius. I've got a little bit of problem with a restaurant staff but after informing the hotel. They fixed it by offering me a basket of fruit and a bottle of wine as an apology. Well done!

We were three persons (two women and one man around 30 year olds) on a package trip organized by Detur arriving just before the beginning of season. Our flight landed during nighttime with us arriving to the hotel at 2am. George was there even during the night to welcome us and serve us, they kept the restaurant open for us even though they would normally close around midnight! The hotel rooms quality was just as expected for three star hotel. But it was spacious and with balcony with view to the backside pool! The rooms were cleaned daily. And talking about the pools: there was both front and backside pool! Both were good and welcoming. But the restaurant staff! Those were great people who served us well and were friendly with little teasing jokes thrown around! Big thanks and up for Akis and George! We’ll be returning!

Xenones Lindos is a Studios & Family Apartments Complex, within the "protected" old city of Lindos, in the famous Rhodes Island of Greece. One of the best complexes exactly in the center of the Lindos Village, overlooking the Acropolis of Lindos, just a few meters from the Lindos most important sightseeing, market, restaurants, cafes, souvenir shops and of course Lindos Bay. Our complex consists of 17 Studios and Family apartments which can accommodate 2 and 4 adults accordingly, split in four block of units (3 of them attached each other and the 4th one 75m away). All of our Studios and Family Apartments are same standards, comforts and facilities. Our front office department is operated daily between 8.00 - 12.00 and 18.00 - 23.30/00.00 (subject to change). If you intend to arrive out of these hours, please let us know latest 2 days prior to your check in date. Xenones Lindos offers daily maid service and all the modern facilities to its guests for a pleasant and unforgettable stay within the most famous area of Rhodes - Lindos.
We stayed here a week. We arrived in early hours and were given written directions from coach drop off point to walk down to our room in A block (there are 4, all very close to each other). Found it easily (Recommend flat comfy shoes as Lindos is hilly with lots of very cute but steep lanes) , door was unlocked and key was lying in our welcoming studio. Woke up to stunning view of Acropolis and beautiful Lindos from the lovely patio area. Had 2 single beds pushed together sharing sheets/blanket - they were incredibly comfy! Arthur the manager arrived to welcome us and show us where to find the stunning rooftop bar (in B block). We’d a sink, kettle, refrigerator, 2 ring cooker, toaster (don’t set it too high!), hairdryer, ironing board (iron available in request) and ample pans and cooking utensils including enough tea, coffee sugar etc for a couple of days. There was even washing up liquid and a fresh scourer! There are a couple of supermarkets within 5 mins walk and we bought fresh bread cheese eggs and ham and had a lovely breakfast on the patio area each morning. The shower is very tight but very good - just be careful not to nudge the taps when in as it can get very hot! Maid came every day to make beds/tidy up and towels changed regularly. As long as you are reasonably fit for a steepish climb this is an ideal centrally situated accommodation. Lindos is just stunning. We’d last been here 37 years ago and had great fun revisiting some of the bars and restaurants we remembered plus loads of new ones! The beaches are beautiful. We definitely won’t wait 37 years to return and would be very happy to stay at Xenones again as the staff particularly Arthur are all so lovely and helpful
