The five dramatic Patagonian provinces stretch from the ice fields and granite peaks of the Andes mountains to the rugged Atlantic coast, where southern right whales gather to breed. A nature lover's dream, it's also home to the sizable Peninsula Valdes southern elephant seal colony and the world's largest Magellanic penguin colony, located in the Punta Tombo reserve. At its tip, Tierra del Fuego and Ushuaia, the globe's southernmost city, are popular jumping-off points for Antarctic cruises.

Clean hotel with decent sized rooms and comfortable beds. Breakfast is mostly pastries and some fruit but is sufficient. The staff was very helpful and the location was just a short walk from all the restaurants and shops. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting El Calafate.

We stayed at this hotel, and we couldn’t have expected a better, safer, cleaner, friendlier, hotel and service at Perito Moreno. We stayed in the larger room with one queen and two twins, and everything was clean as well as fully stocked. Lucas helped us with choosing a good restaurant for dinner, as well as how to get in and out of Las Cuevas de las Manos. Breakfast was good, and kept us full until our final destination which was El Calafate. I would definitely recommend this hotel, as well as would stay here again!

In San Carlos de Bariloche, a city of privilege in Patagonia Argentina, you will find Las Gaviotas. Placed on the shore of Nahuel Huapi lake, Las Gaviotas offers you the opportunity to enjoy a unique and incomparable view that you will not forget. It is also located on the main avenue of Bariloche, 5 minutes to town and 15 minutes to Cerro Catedral, wich is the biggest ski centre in South America. We hope to see you ,and make you feel at home.
We rented an apartment with lake views. When we got there and went inside the bathroom was full of mold with a black bathtub. (See photos here) When we told the owners about it and asked why they sent us photos of a completely different bathroom, they told us that the photo they sent me was that of the old bathroom without mold! When I said that was misleading and we want our money back, they said that they would have charge us for the first night. We told them even that I was pregnant and my husband had asthma but they didn’t budge. It wasn’t till we went back to the reception and discussed in front of other customers to show them the photos of the terrible black mold that they budged and gave us our money back. We then had to go and scramble to find another place to stay for the night which was difficult because it was so last minute and it was a weekend and most places were fully booked up. Stay away from this fraud of a place!

Great value option in Villa La Angostura. Our studio was huge. The bed was very comfortable, the shower hot with excellent pressure, and the price was great. It worked perfectly for us. Highly recommended!

The apartment block is at walking distance to very good restaurants to have breakfast / lunch and dinner, so we did not use the kitchen. The boiler makes too much noise, when the shower is being used and some other minor details, but very decent price / quality apartment to stay with a family for a few days.

This was the last hotel of a 10 day trip in Argentina. When we arrived, we discovered that our travel agent had made a mistake while booking and didn't make a reservation large enough for our group. Monica to the rescue! She made it right without breaking a sweat. This is a clean, but rustic hotel. Keys are old school - actual keys. View of the bay is lovely. This hotel is about a mile from city center - about a 20 minute walk along a busy road. There are not really sidewalks, so you are walking in parking lots for part of the way. Be ready to take short showers, the water gets cold quickly. Hot water heater is located in the apartment and makes a fair amount of noise. Breakfast was provided. You call the front desk and a basket with bread, croissants and butter/jelly is delivered to your room. My only complaint about this hotel was the noise. The owner has a dog that lives on the property. This dog barked at dogs across the street. All night. Every night. I called and they would take the dog in, but then the dog would go back out. Our apartment was front and center in the group of buildings and it felt like that dog stood in front of our door and barked. There are many stray dogs outside of the gated property. They bark, too, which is not the fault of the hotel. We had a nice stay, with little sleep. I have to compliment Monica one more time - she was fantastic with restaurant recommendations and was a very friendly and welcoming person.
