Local Theatre with entertainers showing their craft.
We heard about this from our daughter, a Theatre Major at University of Victoria and we bought tickets. They were inexpensive (only $20 per ticket) and we got there about 20 minutes early. The place was nearly sold out but the theatre is well designed and there was not a bad seat in the house. The production was outstanding. A celebration of Fado music, in the face of Portuguese history and their diaspora escaping poverty and dictatorships, it featured great writing, superb acting, lovely music (I am now a fan), and a simple set design, costumes, lighting that perfectly set the mood for the various scenes without spending a ton of money or special effects. Run, don't walk, to see this production. If you miss it in Victoria, they are having a longer run in Vancouver. loved it!

What a fun Thursday night! Rockstar Bingo is weekly music bingo show with a live band playing all the songs. Friends and I have been joining in every week to check out the the song selection and use our phones to access the app that generates a bingo card. Very cool to play this online (during Covid) as well as in-person (pre-Covid lockdown/post-Covid lockdown) at the venue! Lots of familiar tunes from the 80's and 90's which is perfect for our circle of friends! The band, SuperSauce is very talented and has a great time on stage, keeping it fun for the audience!

Being regular theatre goers for many years, when we saw an opportunity to support the Theatre we registered immediately for a dinner/show and we’re very pleased that we did. The food ,service and Michael Clarke presenting the Sam Cooke story were all excellent The only suggestion we would have is heated dinner plates for the main course which would keep the food warmer, which was excellent for flavour and quality but could be served a tic warmer Cheers J.
