We visited for the first time to see a French farce - which was brilliant. The theatre is well laid out with well raked seats meaning no heads in the way! The bar is well stocked and the area around it is open and pleasant. The weekday free parking (limited) was a bonus, even if it was next door in the college car park - weekends is only £1, bargain! Ignore the negative reports - this is a lovely place.

I went to see the wonderful Simon Reeve .....the venue is a delight as was the show ....however the prices of the drinks are nothing short of extortionate .....which now leads me to the bar practically on the theatre doorstep “The Victoria Lounge Bar” it’s not connected to the theatre as I found out from bar manager Mandie .....it’s also very well stocked with cask ales etc ,but more importantly far more reasonably priced than the theatre, so if you’re local or visiting from outside the area....pay them a visit ....you won’t be disappointed.
