The Okanagan Valley, in the interior of British Columbia, is a popular Canadian vacation destination known for skiing in the winter and watersports in the summer. The area's quaint towns and lush vineyards are connected by a network of clear blue lakes and rivers and surrounded by rolling, sun-dappled hills. Head to Kelowna for one of several wine festivals or to Penticton for the sugary summer Peach Festival. To the south is Osoyoos, home to an arid desert filled with rare plants and animals.

We attended this Theatre in the Cultural District of Kelowna for the Kelowna Actors Studio performance of Mama Mia. What an amazing show. The venue offered lots of nice seating, with great lighting and amazing sound. Really nice volunteers and staff throughout, to show you to you seats. Can’t wait to go back.

My beautiful daughter surprised me on my visit to the Okanagan with dinner out and tickets to “The Nutcracker” production of this unique theatre company. The weather provided a snow globe effect, and dressed warmly we delighted in this unique experience. I will forever remember it as a highlight of my trip!

We attended our first show which was 'A funny thing happened on the way to the forum'. Exceptional is the first word that came to mind. The talent of this show is incredible. I really cannot believe that I was unaware that this gem existed after living in the area for two years. We did enjoy the show as a dinner theater and were both very happy with our meal and the service. For the price of admission of the show (about $100 per person at the time of this review) I felt we had received a first class experience. My only wish is the dinner theater seats would have been a bit more comfortable, they may need a refresh. (that issue is so minor it was hardly worth noting) We will certainly be back and we are looking into the season pass to see if its something that may work for us. Thank you to the actors, actresses, servers, staff and production staff. great job!

The South Okanagan Events Centre (SOEC) opened in September 2008. Owned by the City of Penticton, the state of the art arena is managed by Global Spectrum Facility Management. The Okanagan's premier sports and entertainment venue, the SOEC brings world-class concerts and events to Penticton. Over the years, we've played host to world class events including Carrie Underwood, Keith Urban, Motley Crue, Brad Paisley, and many more! We're also home to the Penticton Vees Junior 'A' Hockey team of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) and the prestigious Okanagan Hockey School. Part of a larger complex, the SOEC connects to the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre adding to our hosting ability. The 5,000 seat arena features a retractable seating system. This unique, patented design reduces the conversion time between hockey and basketball floor configurations. The result is great sight lines for all sports fans!

A really beautiful theatre with an amazing, dedicated group of staff and volunteers. You can tell that the staff takes pride in their work with the community, especially the Artistic Director, Erin. Looking forward to seeing shows there again soon.
