The Atlantic coast of New Jersey, with its beaches and boardwalks, stretches from Sandy Hook in the north to Cape May in the south. Fresh ocean breezes fan 127 miles of sandy beaches. Drive between cities or catch a NJ Transit bus or Atlantic City jitney bus. Atlantic City packs people in to nightlife venues and casinos. Wildwood's boardwalk is well-trod. Asbury Park is once again popular, particularly with gays and lesbians. Cape May's restaurants and Victorian inns lure tourists to the historic town.

Any visit to Monmouth County, NJ isn't complete without a theater experience at this excellent local theater in Atlantic Highlands. They are actually continuing to perform during this pandemic with social distancing practices in force. Delicious cakes and coffee, tea and soda to enjoy before the play and at intermission. Most of the plays are by local talents and keep you happily engaged in a wonderful evening/afternoon well spent. The latest play, Bad Medicine finished its run tonight and was hysterically funny from the first scene to the last. The BEST in local theater in the entire area at a great price. Time well spent!!

A professional non-profit boutique theater located a few blocks from the Atlantic Ocean in Long Branch, NJ. NJ Rep is committed to developing and producing new plays and returning to the basics where text is paramount so as to make a contribution to the repertoire of the American stage.
If you haven't been to the New Jersey Repertory Company in Long Branch, what are you waiting for!? The award-winning, professional, year-round, boutique theater rocks with its current production "Lily" a world premiere that has been breaking all box-office records. Only one week remains - but their new season starts January 9, 2020 - and if it's anything like this past season - WOW! Sex, Drugs, and Rock 'n' Roll! What some other critics have said about "Lily" - "A new and powerful play about the powers of love and hate, repentance, and revenge. It is a play with more emotional honesty in its first five minutes than in the whole of some other plays. It is a play that must be experienced". - Out In Jersey.com It's one of the best shows I've seen on the NJ Rep stage. It's fascinating, clever, freewheeling and unpredictable. "It might possibly be the debut work of a hot new playwright. Perhaps an heir to Sam Shepard, but with more laughs". - Two River Times
