An Tain Arts Centre is an independent arts space in Dundalk, Co. Louth based in the former Tain Theatre, Town Hall, Crowe Street. A market town situated along Ireland’s Ancient East, Dundalk has a rich cultural heritage that dates to at least 3500 BC. An Tain Arts Centre derives its name from the Tain Bo Cuailnge or the Cattle raid of Cooley, a legendary story from early Irish literature, which is said to have taken place in the nearby Cooley Penninsula. An epic tale of war, it tells the story of Queen Medbh of Connacht who declares war on Ulster and tries to steal the famous stud bull Donn Cuailnge, but is opposed by the super-human warrior Cuchulainn who defends Ulster at all costs. Supported by Louth County Council, An Tain Arts Centre houses a 350 seat main theatre, a 55 seat studio theatre, a visual arts gallery and two workshop spaces. The programme is a diverse collection of local arts, national tours, workshops, exhibitions and in-house productions.

One of Ireland’s oldest cinemas, the Regal Cinema in Youghal reopened its doors in summer 2018 following a year-long renovation. The refurbished cinema has 2 screens showing the latest Hollywood movies and old classics on state-of-the-art 4K digital technology. The stunning cinema also has a luxury mezzanine level in screen one, a multi-purpose space for events and, for a truly unique experience, cinema goers and walk-in guests alike can enjoy a glass of wine in the new Regal Wine Bar & Café. Built in 1936, many of the cinemas original architectural features have been meticulously restored and some eye-catching, art deco style touches added throughout making this a wonderfully nostalgic cinema experience.
I just absolutely LOVE everything about this cinema! The decor, the staff, the older movies they play its all amazing.. I am always recommending this cinema to people. I travel 25 mins to get here and it is so worth it! My sisters and I went to all the Harry Potter movies when they showed them in Sept and Oct. We looked forward to them every Monday and have to say we were disappointed when they finished. I love sitting in the balcony and bringing in a glass of wine or a hot chocolate it is such a treat. The staff are all so friendly and helpful they couldn't be nicer. I could honestly keep going on about this wonderful place but don't take my word for it go see for yourself you will not be disappointed!

Triskel Arts Centre was founded in 1978, and moved to its current home in Tobin Street in 1986. Triskel celebrates its Fortieth Birthday in 2018 and Christchurch is 300 years old. As Cork's principal Arts Centre our mission has always been to commission, present and promote the contemporary arts in Cork, and to ensure the arts are made available to as wide a public as possible. In 2009 Triskel began a process of re-invention, partly because Christchurch, a beautiful 18th Century building, was to be restored by Cork City Council, linked to the existing building, and given to Triskel to manage. Triskel also began this process because it is important to continue to be relevant for artists, practitioners and the public at large. On 15th April 2011, that became a reality when the new complex was launched. We now act as an art gallery, independent cinema, civil wedding venue and a concert hall. Guided tours of this historic building are also available.
Art house cinema/music venue in an atmospheric old church, Art Gallery on the top floor and a busy little cafe/bar with the ruins of a 1,000 year old church visible in the basement makes this Arts Centre a must visit! The cinema always shows very interesting and eclectic films from around the world and hosts great visual Art exhibitions. A wonderful asset for Cork city.

Since our launch in August 2002, Mermaid Arts Centre has made a splash in the artistic and cultural life of County Wicklow. We present an ambitious programme of performance including innovative dance, spellbinding theatre, cutting edge music and art-house cinema.
Breath taking performance together with the violinist who literarily made the violin talk she play in with such passion she could have been the star performer on her own. Great selection of songs sung by Vivienne Long who payed the Cello and keyboard with great gusto. Frank Burkitt sang his own creations and played the guitar.
