This is the opera play that are running the world with Brazilian actors and singers. All equipment, furniture, scenarios, special effects and scripts came from the original production company. So it's very well planned, designed and executed to be the Phantom of the Opera famous play. The story can be read on the Internet or in the booklet that is distributed in the beginning. It's crucial to get into the theater 20 min earlier at least, they don't let anyone enter the premises after the play starts. The same happens during the intermissions, so be sharp regarding time. They have an annoying ringing to warn everyone that the play will start soon, so don't worry about missing the time.

Sérgio Cardoso Theatre is located in the heart of Bixiga, an Italian neighbourhood in the city centre of São Paulo. It was named after an important actor in the Brazilian theatre community and founded in the same place where he started his company. The opening night was on October 13, 1980, with a tribute to the actor. In 2004, the theatre started to be managed by APAA - a social organisation that is responsible for administrating other equipments and cultural events. After being refurbished, the technical facilities were updated and the rooms received new audio and lighting systems, making Sérgio Cardoso Theatre one of the largest and best equipped stages in the State of São Paulo. The theatre has a main room with 835 seats and a smaller one with 144. Other facilities - like its basement, mezzanine and lobby - are also opened for presentations and expositions.
