Krakow is one of the most culturally and politically significant cities in Poland. It was the central site of the Nazi General Government during WWII, and there’s still a residual feeling of solemnity here that’s especially apparent during visits to the Plaszow Concentration Camp and the Oskar Schindler Factory. Both the Historic City Centre and the Jewish District are brimming with cafés, shops, and pubs, and the 10-acre Main Market Square is a medieval feast for the senses.

The food tour gives you an opportunity to taste fantastic Polish dishes and hear the stories behind them. You will learn why Poles ferment everything, why they somethimes long for food produced in the 70’s, why you can’t trust the invitation „for a cup of coffee.” You will visit 4-5 establishments, so be prepared for a full meal (and a dessert, of course). The tour is daily!

Hi, I'm a co-founder of Eataway which connects people with home cooks and hosts all around the world. For the last 5 years, I have been teaching people how to cook delicious food at my home, and I also run food workshops such as the Pierogi Power Workshop, Fermentation Workshop and more. Our cooking classes take place in Salwator, beautiful Krakow's area not far from Rynek Glowny – about 15 min by tram and 10 by taxi. I will prepare a traditional Polish meal with local produce, much of which is grown in my garden. in the heart of the countryside. Starting with a soup – probably chicken broth, or fresh beet soup ( borscht), then the main course...pierogi. We will be preparing together famous fresh dumplings from scratch, first the dough and different stuffings -a lot of fun and delicious! lunch + cooking classes. For dessert, look out for delicious cheesecake with chocolate sauce or salty caramel. I cook for up to 14 people at my home in Krakow . Price per person is 180Pln.Please join!
