We had a great family experience cooking Hiroshima style okonomiyaki, and just a quick note about the timing - we booked for the 7pm-9pm slot, and got there a little after 7pm, lucky for us - our session was just us, so it was ok, but normally the 7pm session is the last one - so don't be late! And 7pm-9pm means be there at 7pm! Once we arrived we were given aprons and a quick introduction before getting to cook our dinner - you get a choice of toppings, and the class begins. It easy going and you get opportunities to take some video and photos during the class, once your done you get to eat what you made! It was really fun and the okonomiyaki tasted great too - its quite a big portion, so come hungry. Our class was in English, and the whole experience took about an hour and half, great fun for the whole family!

Iwase Shoten Co., Ltd. was founded in "Taisho Fukuyama" in 5 years. It is a "colorant specialist company" with dye know-how accumulated over 100 years. Under the motto "Let's make the world bright and fun", we will develop dyeing prescriptions and propose dyes across the textile industry. On November 4, 2018, "Somelabo", a place where anyone can play with dye, also opened. The concept of Somerabo is "laboratory to play with dye". Dyeing and chemistry are, in fact, closely related. The "color" in the world is produced by many chemical reactions. You can experience the fun and casualness of "dying" with such chemical elements in a cafe-like space.
I got to make my own mask at SomeLab! It was a lot of fun and super easy!! It's been so hot lately that I was happy to find an indoor activity. They has so many different colors! I want to go back and make something else too! They have special Japanese indigo dye too! I would love to take my little sister sometime!

Just a three-minute walk from the Atomic Bomb Dome. Kyudo is a Japanese martial art based on shooting an arrow from a Japanese bow to a target to reach a complete focus of mind and body. The main difference of kyudo and western archery is that, in kyudo, every movement follows a traditional routine that pays respect to the equipment and to the opponent. I'll give a brief explanation about the art of kyudo as well as instructions and demonstrations. With the knowledge you'll gain, you will learn to shoot arrows at the target. You'll also understand the fun and challenging aspect of the sport, particularly while wearing the traditional hakama and armor. Usually in kyudo, you are not allowed to pull the arrow unless you master the basics. But during our lesson, you will be able to enjoy the real kyudo experience even as a complete beginner. It will be a great time if you are looking for a nice photo or movie to show to your friends.
It was an amazing experience! The teacher is pretty kind, patient and a gave us good advices. Now we are samouraïs!
