Dance Free is my favorite place for Spanish-English language exchanges and dance classes. They have amazing teachers and staff who are super friendly and energetic. The language exchanges are so much fun! I love that I get to meet people from different parts of the world. Their Salsa and Bachata dance classes are the best. I’ve learned so many cool moves! Thank you so much Dance Free!!

I stayed in Medellin with my friends for a month and we wanted to do something fun, so we signed up for weekly classes. It was the highlight of our trip! Cata was incredibly accommodating to us, even arranging for additional instructors to assist us with the discrepancies between salsa experience in our group, and providing partners for us when we had unequal numbers. She was also very responsive via text or phone call. She teaches in English or Spanish and breaks the moves down in a way that is very easy to learn. We have taken salsa classes from several other schools and the consensus amongst all my friends is that Cata's are by far the best, and also very affordable! Cata also arranges practice nights both in the studio and at salsa clubs. My only regret is that I could not stay in Medellin longer to take more classes and will certainly go back if/when I return to Medellin!

I spent 3 weeks at Colombia Immersion in the Laureles program and loved it! This is definitely the place to go if you want to study in Medellin. The school was super organized, excellent teachers, friendly staff, and many activities geared towards understand Colombia and Medellin and meeting other people. The curriculum was also really organized, and the school was comfortable. Thank you, thank you, thank you Colombia Immersion.

Located in San Carlos, Antioquia, a beautiful Colombian town surrounded by nature and near Medellin. Classes start Mondays and are individual or in small groups. We have taught students from over 40 countries at all levels of Spanish. Immersion in local culture enhances your Spanish learning experience. We chose San Carlos to be the base for Spanish Adventure to allow for that immersion. San Carlos is known in Colombia for its many waterfalls and example of peace and reconciliation after the war. San Carlos is a hidden gem, and has yet to see international tourism. Not only do we offer Spanish lessons but also daily adventures. In the surrounding nature this includes swimming in rivers, jumping off waterfalls, hiking, canyoning and more! In addition there are great opportunities to interact with the people of San Carlos.

My stay + experience at Spanish Adventure was incredible & I could not recommend staying here more. I was planning on staying at S.A. for a month starting at the beginning of March and, while my stay was unfortunately cut short, I was ready to stay for longer after just my first week. From day one, it was obvious that the people who started & run S.A. truly put their whole hearts into the school, adventures, & experience they create. San Carlos is such a special place – the local community is welcoming & there are lots of things you can do during your free time (a running track, rivers + waterfalls, great food, & more). The Spanish lessons are amazing – you can tell S.A. puts a lot of work, thought, & love into how they structure the curriculum & courses. And, the accommodations are solid & homey + the free lunch they provided is always delicious. You are definitely kept pretty busy w/ Spanish lessons & afternoon adventures but, in the best of ways – there was never a dull moment. S.A. truly created a home away from home where you get to learn Spanish, immerse yourself in local culture, appreciate the beautiful surroundings, & meet some incredible people (travelers & locals alike). ¡Gracias a todo el equipo de Spanish Adventure!
