It has been called "MOSHI MOSHI(Hello Hello) House" by the local inhabitants as it was the only place in the village where a telephone has been installed at one time. The Kurassic-kan buildings were part of a nearby sake (rice wine) brewery built in 1888. They were refurbished and moved to the current location. Now the main building is a symbol of the Nakamachi Street, a popular street in Matsumoto, and used as a rental space for exhibitions, events, tea ceremony lessons, flower arrangement lessons and more. Next to the main building is a tearoom and cafe.
