My 2 friends and I went on the beginners Spring Tour 2019 for our first trip to Japan. We loved it and can't wait to go back! Becky and Shawn are awesome. They were so down to earth, helpful and very knowledgeable. I also really liked that the tour group is small. It allows you to get to know your fellow group members and ensures personal attention from your guides. We saw so many large tour groups at tour sites and they looked a little chaotic, it made me happy we chose a small group. The accommodations were always clean and comfortable and located perfectly. Food was amazing!!! If you are willing to try new things you can have an amazing gourmet experience. The events and locations that Becky and Shawn chose were top notch and we got to experience all different modes of transportation while there.

The flexibility to chose locations that suited our wants and abilities was great. Hiro San was very quick to put together an itinerary that accommodated a family with a stroller-baby (no monkey park due to long unpacked walking paths). Taking in the beautiful temples and view of the Kyoto from the west was breath taking and the guide was able to explain many things we as new Japanese learners could not read or know through cultural knowledge. Overall a great experience, a wonderful and lively guide, and some great memories.

This was our second trip touring with our wonderful guide Khizer. We had arrived in to Tokyo amidst all the shutdowns surrounding CoronaVirus fears. Khizer knew what was open and sent me a list of what we could choose from for our day. We chose the Toshugu Shrine complex in Nikko and the Edo Wonderland experience for the day. Both were amazing and having Khizer there with us made it that more enjoyable. He is so kind and accommodating and even offered to help us with information beyond our last day with him. It could have been a very stressful time but he made it a memorable experience that begs for your return to experience more. Hope to see you again soon Khizer!

Kento is most definitely the perfect guide for late night adventures around Shinjuku. Highly personable with an enquiring mind and a lot of fun , I’m sooooo glad I stumbled into one of his tours . If a traveller wants to get to know the Golden Gai area , this is most definitely your man . The meal before was wonderful and somewhere I would never have discovered by myself - and cheap as ! This is the real thing , with a brilliant guide .

I am very happy I went on this tour. I saw a lot in 8 hours and did not have to worry about how to get from one place to the other which was great! Nobu, my guide, was very nice, knowledgeable and his English was excellent. You can customise your tour, I did not as it was my first time in the city and I enjoyed all the places we went to. I highly recommend this tour.

This was an excellent trip. Decided to visit Mt. Fuji in October with my young son and asked the guide - Khizer - to concentrate on child friendly activities and areas. We all thoroughly enjoyed the experience and my son had the time of his life. Khizer is super friendly, has excellent English + Japanese and answered all the questions we had. He also had brilliant tit-bits about things which kept us all captivated the entire time. His in-depth knowledge of both the geography and history of the places we visited was outstanding and made this a most memorable experience. We were super delighted that Khizer adjusted the tour to our requirements making this a wonderful day out for my family. Could not have asked for a nicer experience with an extremely pleasant guide. Thank you very much Khizer! The van was very clean and came equipped with hand sanitizers and masks thus giving us comfort during these times of coronavirus. Looking forward to our next trip...

While we were sad to have to cancel our July trip to Japan due to the pandemic, we found the process of working with Japan Awaits to be easy and efficient. I can't speak to the full experience since we weren't able to go, but filling out the form and our communication with the company was no problem. And their prompt and courteous response to our request for a refund speaks to their professionalism. We will definitely come back to ask for their help in procuring tickets to the Studio Ghibli Museum when we do finally make it to Japan! Fingers crossed for next summer.

Super recommended service. Koki, a very friendly driver with a comfortable and clean car. He waited all the time needed to get out of the airport due to covid measures and the ride was really enjoyable, after arriving at the destination he even helped me finding the exact apartment for good 10 minutes! Again super recommended.
