The Ring of Kerry (or Iveragh Peninsula) is the Kerry tourist trail and part of the mystical and unspoilt region of Ireland that has attracted visitors for hundreds of years. Its spectacular beauty is beyond question. Located in the southwest region of Ireland and part of the 'Wild Atlantic Way,' the drive out along the peninsula is 112 miles (180 kilometers) drive out into the Atlantic on a peninsula. Taking the drive does not disappoint and remains the most famous coastal drive in Ireland.

My husband and I have traveled to Europe over a dozen times in the last twenty years. We’ve always traveled independently doing our own research and making our own reservations. We’re very comfortable taking public transportation in Europe and have also driven rental cars. A few years ago, we started purchasing small group or private tours for day trips and museum tours. We find them to be a great value for the personalized experience you receive. The key is doing your research ahead of time and finding the right tour company for you. For our trip to Ireland in August 2019, I found several highly-rated companies that offered day trips in southern Ireland. We ended up selecting MunsterBus Tours and had a fantastic experience. We booked with MunsterBus Tours because of their good customer reviews and excellent customer service in planning the trip – specifically my interactions with Linda Conway. Linda and I emailed back and forth to plan our two day trips for 4 adults. She was very responsive and professional (with a nice sense of humor). She took the time to really think about the information I sent her and then responded with detailed information and personalized itinerary options for us to consider. I also emailed Linda while in Ireland for advice with something not related to our day trips and she responded immediately with very helpful suggestions. Great customer service! We were also delighted to find the actual day trips were very enjoyable. Our driver and guide for both days was Craig. He was knowledgeable, helpful, patient and a very good driver. He did a great job balancing informing us, entertaining us (we had fun singing Irish songs) and giving us quiet time. Craig made our time in southern Ireland even more enjoyable. When we return to continue our exploration, we will definitely use MunsterBus Tours!!

Booked a trip to Killarney on the presumption this bus was running, as on its website it says service will resume in May 2020. We waited at the bus stop for 20 mins and were then informed it's not running at all. The website needs to be updated.

We arrived at O'connors and were told that the bus was full and that the we would get a lift which was fine, went to Ross Castle and it was lovely and then had such an incredible experience on our boat ride, the weather was amazing which added to it and we were full of smiles. Great walk through the Gap of Dunloe, it's not a had walk to do and it was very enjoyable. We were told we would be collected at 4pm, we asked the driver if possible to pick us up at 3.45pm as there's nothing on their website to say what time you will return unless your collection is from their 2pm location so we had booked our car into a car park until 4pm. We explained this to the guy and he said no problem at all I will see you then, showed up at 4.10pm for collection and a possible fine for myself and no apology at all, took us on a bus with another couple and then said as he pulled towards some bus station it would be quicker to swap over to his car to get around the town, quicker for him maybe to get home not for us, on top of that nothing about covid and face masks, he wasn't wearing one and no hand sanister in sight. I feel I've rambled on the negative about this but it did anger me and I just want to warn people that the experience is amazing, Gap of Dunloe is gorgeous, the boat ride was something else, please if you get a chance do it, however I felt uncomfortable around the owner of the business and his either complete lack of awareness or judgement and his way too laid back behaviour.

IWHB was great to work with on my walking tour (Kerry Camino/Dingle Way), from initial information and coordination, to day-to-day check-ins and weather updates. Morris provided a lively and informative intro the day before I set up, ensuring I was set up to enjoy the hiking. They are very well organized, friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. I don't hesitate to recommend using them for one of their tours, I was very happy, surprised really, with how much they had to offer and the way they went about it all.

Sadly, in these uncertain days of Coronavirus, I had to cancel my upcoming tour. The team at Overland Ireland were compassionate and understanding in working out the details so as to minimize losses all around. Flexible reschedule options into next year were offered as well. This is the kind of small company to support.
