Enjoy a 3-hour walking tour in Bihor county and explore the city of Oradea and its cultural highlights with your guide. Oradea, the capitol city of Bihor county, is one of the important economic, social and cultural centers of north-western Romania. The city is holding on to these characteristics throughout its history. Oradea is nestled among hills that divide and unify the Crisana Plains and the hill-like limits of the Apuseni Mountains in a harmonious way. Located on the Crisul Repede River, which divides the city into almost equal halves, Oradea is the gateway to Central and Western Europe. Located about 10 km from Bors – the biggest border point on the western border – Oradea ranks tenth in size out of the Romanian cities. The price is per group for up to 10 tourists.
Inclusions: Tour guide service, Pick up and drop off at the customer hotel

Very well done & truly fascinating, to still see the bones from the killed animals was really interesting. The caves were huge & very well kept. Also it was very easy to walk through the caves & a guide is included in the very low entrance fee. Please go & enjoy it.

We had a great time with our tour guide, Paul!! My boyfriend and I were vaccinated and decided to spend 4 days in Bucharest. We took this tour on a Sunday and due to the Covid season all the locations we visited were pretty clear. I was very appreciative that we didn't have to fight with crowds or long lines to enter the castles. This tour takes you to all the main castles/places in 12 hours. I chose this tour over the other ones offered on Tripadvisor since it gave us a good amount of time at each spot. I liked that we didn't feel rushed & got to really soak everything in. Yes, it seems long but I swear it goes by quick. Expect to walk a lot & definitely pack some easy to eat snacks. Also, don't forget like I did --- PACK COFFEE! The tour starts early and if you're not a morning person, coffee is a must. No more hesitating and just book it. Great price for a quality tour.

This tour will allow the clients to see the most known cave from Romania "The Bear's Cave " from Chiscau, a village situated at around 90 km away from Oradea. We will descend into the depths of the Bears Cave finding an extraordinary range of stalagmite and stalactite formations, coupled with traces of bears from many years ago. The cave was named so, as numerous "cave bears" (Ursus spelaeus) were found in this cave. The cave was visited by these large animals more than 15.000 years ago. But one day, a rock slide closed the entrance while more than 140 bears were still in the cave. Becoming hungry, the bears killed one another until all were dead. This story is told by their remains, tons of bear bones covering the floor of large parts of the cave with the marks of bear teeth.

My husband and I visited Oradea in early June and wanted to see not only some of the highlights of the city but also specific attractions. My parents grew up in Oradea and I wanted to see the Cris river (on whose banks my dad walked with his first girlfriend), the Jewish conservative synagogue and the place where the Jews were taken to the camps by train (now a park). Arin was highly personable, knowledgeable and flexible and made our tour a delightful experience. He started by showing us the fascinating Oradea citadel (a must-see), whose moat with hot water from thermal springs kept invaders at bay. It is believed to be the best preserved citadel in Europe built in the Renaissance style, erected between the years 1077-1095 by King Ladislau I. (In the beginning it was a fortified monastery, later it was transformed into a citadel, which became the headquarters of the Roman-Catholic Diocese of Oradea.) Arin then took us to the open market (really, it had some kind of a roof to protect u s from the elements), huge in size, and offering a great variety of beautiful produce, fruits and vegetables), and flowers. He then walked us through parts of the beautiful city and its varied architecture, pointing out all sorts of interesting things, and then walked with us, continuing to explain everything, to the sites we wanted to see, including some new ones that he thought we might want to see (he was right). Arin is a superb guide. His English is flawless, he is fun to be with, accommodating, helpful and dedicated to giving his clients the best possible experience. I recommend not only this particular walking tour (which, for us, was memorable), but also Arin as a guide. We felt so fortunate to have found him.

3 week Holiday in small town near Cluj - called Campia Turzi. Then toured within 100 mile radius. Fantastic - beautiful scenery, mountains, rivers, lakes - never saw a caravan ! Walking and horse riding is superb. The food was first class and 100% organic as is the whole Country. It was hot - very hot close to 40 deg. The attractions are too many to list here right now but we went clay shooting, mountain walking, river walking wow its a rugged Country. The people were very friendly and it was very safe to walk around even at night. So many police deters the bad folk. Went to a mountain church where the head priest has his own "Tweeka" (apple brandy) brewery. More than 80% proof rocket fuel. He gave us a full lunch and a couple bottle this brew - no charge. The bars and cafe's are joy to sit outside and have a very cheap beer or three. Fantastic cake shops and you must try the cake called "Papanasi" - if this is not the best cake you have ever seen or eaten. Made with blackberries and cottage cheese - just sublime. I spent another 10 days in a hotel with my 35 year old son - the Sun Garden near Turda in Cluj. We had breakfast, lunch and evening meals then guests for drinks every night. Cam to settle the bill on leaving - just COULD NOT BELIEVE It - came to less than £1000 when I was expecting £3000 ! Finally for now this is a land of truly Beautiful people and super super fit. Is there any fat people in Romania? I do not think so. The women have to be seen to be believed.

My original booked tour for this combo canceled on me, less than 10 hours beforehand, since I was the only one on the tour. I scrambled in my hotel room to find another company that offered this combo, as I REALLY wanted to go to the sanctuary. I mean vampires and bears? What an amazing combo! So when I found these guys, I booked it immediately. They emailed me a little while later saying I was the only one on the tour, but they would honor it! I was picked up by Nicolas, and he was a great guide! He didn't just drive me to each place; he went into the castle with me, pointed out additional places and information and also did a few photo op's. It was a long day and a lot of walking, but so worth it! Castle Bran is always crowded, so be prepared for that. The Libearty Bear Sanctuary requires that you pay an entrance fee, but it's minimal, and so worth it! Over 100+ bears in this amazing place! Also stopped in the town of Brasov, which has great restaurants, German architecture and the Black Church. Nicolas made it enjoyable and I really thank this company for not canceling my trip!
