The exhibition Creature di Gomma - Venice Vintage Toys, was born from an idea of the Venetian collector Fabrizio Fontanella, matured over time and resulted in 2018 in a project that makes its private collection available to the public. It is an impressive collection, one of the most important in the world, of vintage puppets and toys from the sixties, seventies and eighties, the result of a passion that has lasted for thirty years. Today it counts more than 5.000 pieces. It is a Cultural Association and the entrance card, valid till the end of the year, is of 5 euro per person.
Visited this lovely place after seeing all of the wonderful reviews and it didn't disappoint! Lovely trip down memory lane with some of the characters on display, and we even discovered a few we had never seen before. Very friendly staff member talked us through the history of the collection and some of the individual pieces. Very fair price of €5, would recommend to all ages.

Opened to the public in 1983, the Museum, designed in 1967, is located in an area which once held a Clarisse convent. The building was expanded in 1998 using European funding, and from 2014, has been part of the San Donà Civic Museums Organization which includes the Civic Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art and the "I. Battistella" Gallery. In 2018, it was refurbished, and the central theme of the museum became Mankind and his relationship to the surrounding landscape with its amphibious nature throughout the centuries, from ancient times up to the present. The institute, thus, has the natural vocation of being an eco-museum: a multifunctional widespread museum that represents San Donà, a city born in a water immersed land where all memories, landscape, environment, stories and traditions reflect this fact.

The Geography Museum of the University of Padova invites visitors to discover the power of Geography, a fascinating science which has always been animated by the desire to understand the world by way of continual dialogue between the methods of natural sciences and those of social sciences. The collections testify the geographical research and teaching activities which have taken place at the University of Padova since the 19th century and narrate the development of geographical thought, from determinism up to the recent cultural turn. By means of instruments, maps, globes, relief models and photographs, the Museum proposes a three-stage journey, corresponding to the keywords: Explore, Measure, Tell. The setup underlines the link between past research and present times and involves visitors of all ages in an open dialogue.
