Its a really nice museum, VERY friendly staff, and cheap prices. The lady also has some really old items you can test out, like a 50-year-old camera

Hardly 10 mins drive from the lake to the top to see one of the beautiful views of Bled. The Castle is well preserved and has a cellar, history & armor museum , Printing press and the most important..the fantastic panoramic view of Bled. Its a stunning view of lake and surrounding Alps which i cannot express in words. The place has entrance fees which is nominal and kids has discounted price

A very nice castle to visit with family and children. The castle is well maintained, there are all kinds of displays meant for children and adults. You get an audio guide with the ticket, which is about 4.5 euros for adults, but families do have a discount. The view from the castle is also nice and there are some activities going on there. Although I did not stay there, they also have apartments you can rent.

The Škofja Loka Museum is housed in the Škofja Loka Castle, whose imposing exterior dominates the town below. The rich museum collections bear witness to the past and the present day of the territory along the Selška and Poljanska Sora rivers, which formed the Škofja Loka Dominion ruled by the Bishops of Freising, Bavaria, back in the day (973-1803). The Museum's archaeology, history, cultural history, art, ethnology, natural history and sports collections, as well as an open-air museum present the cultural heritage of the Škofja Loka area and also place it in the wider Slovenian and European contexts.
Charming little town, nice for families and for single or couple travellers as well. There is cute little playground with view of castle and square where you can have a nice cup of coffe... Or you can get lost in history while wondering through town with long art and craft tradition, so you can get a good deal for local products as well :-) From the castle on the hill (5 min walk) there is a stunning view, if you have time visit the museum as well. It is a great peek into medieval times and past glory. Round the castle there are many paths in beautiful nature and views worth seeing. If you have time and own transportation head to Poljanska valley and Selska valley.

I went to visit the castle with a couple of friends. We chose to purchase the tickets on the internet(there's a small discount for that and we chose the basic tickets). The entrance to the actual castle is free, you can walk right into the courtyard, but to enter the museums, see the exhibitions and climb up the tower you have to pay for the ticket. We grabbed a map by the entrance and began our visit. I found everything quite nicely organized and we enjoyed our visit, especially the Virtual castle movie and the puppet museum (great for both children and adults, very engaging and interactive). There's not a lot of information around the castle(I guess you have to pay for the audioguide for that), but the museums are well structured and have plentiful of movies and reading materials. Also, the view from the tower is amazing and worth the price of the ticket.

The park is enchanting in all seasons and will amaze you with many walking paths, avenues, mysterious lakes and bridges. In the 18th century the Zois brothers designed the first botanical garden in Slovenia, which eloquently testifies of its natural beauty. On a tour through the park you can meet many animal and plant species and admire outstanding architecture. The Brdo renaissance castle and thatched hayracks are only a part of the rich heritage that here laid the foundations already more than 500 years ago. The Brdo Park is open daily from sunrise till dusk.
