Located at the edge of Soyudlu Village, the castle is called the Maiden Tower (Qız Qalası) by local people. You may also hear the name of Namerd gala (trans. Castle of disloyal man).

Evocative, atmospheric, historic, charming site. Heavily restored and re-modelled but none the worse for that. Great picture opportunities with the Flame Towers in the background highlighting the contrast between medieval and modern in Baku. The carving on the Turbe is exquisite. Justifiably UNESCO-listed and beautifully presented.

Мардакянский замок, построенный в конце XIV века. В прошлом составная часть оборонительной системы крепостей и замков Абшеронского полуострова. Охраняется государством, реставрирован. Находится близко от Баку, поэтому является одним из самых посещаемых туристами.
The castle is magnificent. It's located in one of touristic centers near to Baku city. But it needs more investment to be protected and propagated among the tourists visiting Azerbaijan

The remnains of Chiraq Castle sit very impressively at 1200m on a cliff top above the forested sanatorium of Qala Alti and associated Mashrif village. It’s one of the few castle ruins in Azerbaijan to retain a real castle-shaped silhouette and makes a worthwhile and reasonably easy diversion if you’re driving between Baku and Quba.
