Denmark's largest island is so much more than simply the home of the country's dynamic capital, Copenhagen. Zealand also offers a delightful array of holiday homes and villas, pleasing harbors and sandy beaches, fringed by forests where castles lurk. Major destinations include the UNESCO-designated, Dutch Renaissance-style Kronborg Castle in Helsingor and the Viking attractions, cathedral and music festival of Roskilde. To the south bobs a flotilla of beautiful and relatively untouched islands.

Stayed with my two sons for one night in one of the "standard cottages". The camping ground, reception, playground and toilets/showers where clean and in order. The cottage it self where very worn and badly maintained. Some light bulbs where missing and a piece of the porch where rotten but everything essential worked as suspected. For the price and one nights stay, it's ok.

Vesterlyng Camping offers both chalets, rental caravans and sunny pitches, only an hour's drive from Copenhagen. Located in the midst of a beautiful and largest coastal reserves on Zealand and within walking distance to one of the best beaches of Denmark. Enjoy a well-prepared meal at Vesterlyng Café or take a swim in our pool. A children/family paradise - holiday vitamins! Welcome.
Nice big camping site with pool, cafe and close to the ocean/beach and town of Havnsø. Vesterlyng camping also offers minigolf, has a football field and some animals including a Lama. Both tents, shelters, cabins and caravans are available. The staff is very helpfull!

I booked 18 nights here (1st half for vacation and 2nd half for medical treatment). There’s a tall guy at the receptionist who’s very kind and he made some arrangement for me right after I’ve told him my situation, gratefully appreciated. Somehow there’s miscommunication with another receptionist lady and I decided to speak to the lady manager instead, she’s very understandable and fix the issue quickly. Overall, the bed/linen is clean and comfortable for the price you paid for. I would recommend people who travel to Copenhagen with a budget or you plan a longer stay here, price per night is reasonable with simple and decent breakfast.

Lovely place, friendly people. Beautiful scenery. Well equipped and comfortable accommodation with lovely walks next to the water. Definitely a place to go back to and to recommend. Remember, it does get pretty cold in winter! Obviously.

Camping With Peace And Tranquillity In Balance With Nature Here You Will Find Outstanding Facilities With Cabins Sited Between Slender Beech Trees And Sheltered, Sunny Or Shaded Sites For Tents And Caravans, Everything To Match Your Individual Taste.
Nysted Stand Camping was our first choice debuting with a campervan, and we were not disappointed. The hosts are very kind and "down to earth", and the guests were so friendly and helpful (mostly local people). Facilities were clean and well maintained. Nysted Strand Camping is beautifully located next to a wonderful children-friendly beach and a beautiful cycle path along the coast. We can fully recommend this for you, if you are looking for a perfectly located and quiet camping site, with a friendly atmosphere.

It was so cool to camp near the Harbour of Ishoj. You can easily go to Kopenhagen with busses and trains. At tangloppen camping you can order rolls at the evening and pick them up at the next morning.

We stayed in a 4 person camping cottage/hut here whilst visiting family nearby. We had no idea what to expect and were very pleasantly surprised. Our hut had 2 bunk beds with comfy mattresses. There was a small table and chairs. There was a fridge, a kettle and crockery/cutlery for 4. It was spotlessly clean, and very well cared for. The nearest loo was just across the road, and again spotless. Further down the site were all the usual facilities - kitchen with pans, toilets and showers, washing/drying facilities. The hot showers and washer/dryers were operated with a card system. We reserved via email, and paid when we left. The entire site was very well cared for, clean and tidy. We would be quite happy to go back again and recommend it without hesitation.

Luxury Camping at Feddet Strand Resort. Enjoy an unforgettable holiday. Treat the family to luxury facilities, indoor pool and plenty of outdoor fun. Feddet Strand Resort, a modern campsite with environmentally friendly facilities and experiences for the whole family, is located in southern Zealand, about 50 miles south of Copenhagen.
This is by far the best camping in Denmark. Been here for 10 years 1 week each summer and it is just getting better and better. Its so clean and there are lots to do. The nature is just amazing. The staff is sweet. Big shop for everything. Great indoor swimmingpool and beach. It is such a nice place.

So I get many people will want or go to Copenhagen if they visit Denmark but check this out as an amazing alternative experience instead of another city life full of buildings experience. Helsingor is only 30 minutes from Copenhagen and just a 10 minute Ferry ride to Sweden :-). We spent 4 days at the Helsingor Campground and can tell you this place is run by amazing people that cater to YOUR needs vs “all about our business”. Who could ask for anything better than that? The location is great and so close to pubs, restaurants, attractions and so much more. I can’t tell you how much fun and relaxation we had there with wife and 2 kids (early teens). Everyone enjoyed it just as much!! I could say so much more positive things but the rest you have to experience and I promise it won’t disappoint !

The camping is close enough for a short walk to the railway station to get to the center of Copenhagen. The staff from the reception is very helpful in giving all info in order how to get to Copenhagen. Nice camping :)
