I stayed at this campsite with family, one in a camper van and one set of 2 tents making 8 of us in total. It appears to be a family run site, extremely friendly and accommodating. The lady on reception helped with my extremely poor French. Alas the pool wasn’t open as we arrived late and we moved on before it opened which unfortunately is the afternoon only. I really liked this campsite, it was in a small town in the Le Mans area. Lovely country roads and open fields, the campsite itself is small and well maintained, showers warm and clean. After staying at other campsites I quickly learned a toilet seat is a luxury item. This campsite was blessed with toilet seats. I decided to eat at the on-site restaurant, I believe the reception lady’s husband was the chef, offering simple yet satisfying food. Pizza, chips etc. Which was absolutely fine, my only issue was the salmon was cooked within an inch of its life, closely resembling ash (literally) I didn’t complain, I tried my best it didn’t ruin my experience at all, I just put it down to a slight over sight on cooking time and the chef was so welcoming and accommodating. Everyone else’s meal where nice, can’t say I have seen pizza with sliced potato as a topping but for all I know that’s a local specialty. The campsite had a play area for children, bouncy castle, later a little disco by the pool with some interesting choices. It wasn’t great for mobile data so the children had a great time dancing to the music, it wasn’t full so they really let their hair down and enjoyed themselves. Our tent was pitched up in a hedges square with a small opening onto the wheat fields. To me the whole lay out of the site was well considered to lower any potential noise neighbours might make and to give some privacy. Honestly it was beautiful, quiet, dark. Perfect for a good night sleep. I stayed at another campsite in Bidart the night before, I think I prefer the smaller quiet ones for some true piece and quiet. I noticed a pond, I believe you could fish. I didn’t enquire as I didn’t have the time but I believe that would be really relaxing. The only reason this review doesn’t get 5* was the fish was the only disappointment but other then that exceptional. I am a first time camper and have done a couple this summer this was one of the better ones.

We stayed at Les Tournesols for 3 nights. We were given a lovely, friendly welcome, and a cold drink. It is a small, but well equipped site. We stayed on a 300m2 pitch, enclosed by fencing so we could let our dogs play without being tethered. Off the pitch they were obviously on a lead. There is a nice reception area, small shop, and snack bar. More than snacks, a plat du jour, and pizza to eat in or take away, great prices and quality. We had the plat du jour on 2 evenings. Lasagne, and the local dish ‘’marmite’’. Both were excellent, portion sizes were very good. fries were freshly cooked and not greasy. All for €8.50. Pizzas looked great too, they were only €8. Pool was clean and tidy, there is a mini golf, bouncy castle and a water chute for kids to slide along. Sanitary blocks are very clean and tidy. Gel at the entrances. Only 15 minutes walk into the town. Just a great site.

Stay on our Llama Farm in a Luxury 5m Lotus Belle Tent with a full size double bed and twin singles, Egyptian cotton bedding, towels, BBQ, outdoor kitchen, cooking equipment, utensils, plumbed in shower / toilets and much more. We are Glamping a la Ferme close to the beautiful town of Chateau-du-Loir. We have just 2 belle tents and a large outdoor pool. Our 17 acre Farm is made up of pasture, woodland and a lake. The farm is perfect for our small herd of 7 llamas, with 5 females and 2 trekking boys, we hope to be having Cria (baby Llamas) in 2020. We also have 3 hens and a cockerel called Clint! All our animals are free range and members of our family. (so not for eating!) We also have our 2 dogs Missy & Crumble, they love other dogs staying, we are most definitely Dog Friendly. Our guests are welcome to explore the woodland trails or spend time relaxing in the Loire Valley sunshine listening to the chatter of the Llama from right outside their tents!
We had a wonderful time on the farm. it's a magical place with great animals and loving people. the animals are doing very, very well there. The loving treatment of the llamas, goats, dogs and chickens shows that Sarah and Nigel run the farm with passion. our daughter had so much fun! especially with the two cute dogs and also the chickens, especially the pretty chicken Vanessa. the tents are super spacious, the beds are comfortable and everything is very neat and clean. the breakfast is delicious! we will be back for sure! this corner of paradise with such great people is pure relaxation.

Huttopia Lac de Sillé campsite welcomes you in the middle of the forest for nature holidays with your family! Enjoy the swimming pool, the lake of Sillé and the nautical base of Sillé-Plage. Relaxation in the heart of nature and discovery of the region on foot, mountain bike or canoe, between lake and forest.
Good stop for a couple of days. Set around a large lake it’s a lovely spot. Pitches are a bit tight due them nestling in the trees. Facilities good and very clean. Staff very helpful. Wi fi only available in certain areas. Our hook up didn’t work but it was just a one night stop.

A very beautiful campsite with a lake, glamping, gites, huts. Superbly run with every mod con for you or your group. Close to Le Mans for petrol heads in a rural part of France. There is fresh baguettes and croissants every morning, a pizza restaurant in the evening. It has a quaint bar off of the patio inside the very grand old Manor House.

Stayed 6 nights here and enjoyed the place during summer. Comfortable lodging n relaxing to come home to. Loved d rabbits n nature! And Pierre was very helpful! There is a very good restaurarant Le Jardin Gourmand nextdoor which makes it convenient because the hotel has no other places within walking distance. The only downside was the wifi access...

This campsite has a lovely location and the lake and other facilities are great. We stopped over on the way back from Spain to UK in early September. On arriving at the site we were really pleased with everything. Then at around 5pm a lot of cars arrived with groups of young men that we guessed were immigrant workers. Now, I am very admiring of people working a long way from home just to earn a living and we had no hassle at all, but it was quite intimidating having lots of young men hanging around the toilet blocks throughout the evening. The owners were essentially renting out their static homes to these guys as cheap accommodation. I would stress that nothing happened and everyone was well behaved with little/no noise. On other points, there was no restaurant as advertised, the bar was only open for 2 hours and they did not even have any bottled water. You had to drive to the bins as there were only one set that was a good ten minutes walk from our pitch. I realise we were just out of season, but it was still September. The site staff were very helpful.
