Bungalows and Trailerpark, located 30 miles north of the well known holiday destination Puerto Vallarta, in a quiet side street of Lo de Marcos. Our sun terrace is a cozy place surrounded by palm trees and tropical plants with a marvelous view on the ocean, as well as a pool and own entrance to the beach.
This has been our third year at El Caracol, the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The most amazing flowers cool trees. The campground has grass and a cement pad really wide lots. The bungalows are older Mexican but so cool. Our favourite is up the stairs with a porch overlooking the ocean sit and watch beautiful sunsets. It’s very popular so we had to make a move but we were here for six weeks and both bungalows have their own charm. Already booked for next year. Love to have clean sheets and towels three times a week, floors swept and washed. The cleaning ladies work so hard and always happy. Thank you everyone that works here. This is not a hotel it is something like 15 bungalows. The only negative, and not their fault is the neighbors dogs bark almost all night.

I can’t speak to the cabins or the rest of the business as we never ate in the restaurant or rented boards (150 peso per day) but we arrived on a Friday and with the cabins all being booked opted to camp on the beach in front of the restaurant. This is not a campsite they just let you pitch your tent on the sand and there are restaurants all around. Camping was a terrible idea. We had no warning from staff that the sand fleas and midge like insects are an absolute nightmare here. In 10 mins they had eaten my ankles and hands (the only skin I had on show) to bits and 2 days later I’m still itching to death. My brother fared worse and has arms and legs covered in bites. We would advise to find camping somewhere away from the beach or a room in San Blas. The cabins might be immune from the fleas and midges as they are raised, we couldn’t say, but the occupants were not very friendly and the staff I suspect knew how we were suffering the insects and didn’t make much contact. As for the rest of Stoner’s, ‘rustic’ is the word and that is reflected in the price for beach front accommodation. The toilets and showers are fine but the kitchen is just a burner and water supply with some table space. No pots or plates etc. I don’t want to be too harsh but I can’t stress enough that tent camping here is a bad idea if the insects are about and that the lack of warning from staff was disappointing.

The accommodations were as expected for a small Mexican town and reasonably inexpensive hotel. Bathroom with interesting shower head that would be great for someone over 6 ft tall, but an interesting challenge for the rest of us. Hot water took quite some time to make an appearance, but once it did, it was hot. Cold only elsewhere. Concrete beds with okay mattresses. Kitchen had essentials. Need to purchase own drinking water, which is not a big deal at a bit over $1 US for 5 gallons. Towels and maid service, if desired, need to be requested. Staff were incredibly pleasant and went out of their way to meet needs. Location is just a block off the Main Street and a good hike to the beach.

Park at the shore of the beach in the Riviera Nayarit, with RV spaces with full hookups, camping sites and bungalows.
We stayed with our adult children in one of bungalows at the Pequeno Paraiso over the Christmas holidays. The owners Nanci and Miguel are wonderful hosts and ensured we had an enjoyable stay. The beach was beautiful and the town is authentic. If you want a crowded tourist destination Lo de Marco is not for you.

Excelente.

Had a fantastic 4 hour fishing trip with Marsial and Ivan. Caught 3 large mahi-mahi. Very pleasant and relaxing way to spend an afternoon! Trip included snacks, water, and a basic clean 33 foot fishing boat. No toilet which was fine for us. Lots of mating sea turtles this time of year.

La Parota RV Park is located in Lo de Marcos - Nayarit, and built from American standards. Since 2010, our park offers a peaceful, friendly and safe environment with all the facilities on site. We provide full hook-up on our 43 large sites and we accommodate any size of RV. The park is right on the beach and surrounded by with lush vegetation.
This RV park is right on the beach in Lo de Marcos, Mexico. They provide sewer, 30 amp power and water. Power is metered and Gore's out frequently especially during busy times. The owners are friendly and work with you for whatever you need. Tomatina's surf bar is right there as well with live music 3 nights a week in high season. If they fix the power issue we would love to go back
