Simple but comfortable cabins with private bath-room, hammock on the terrace, nice restaurant. At the edge of the river. The offer several tours. Unfortunately it wasn't the season where the Guacamayas come to enjoy the special fruit from the tree. They offer also boat tours on the river

Aldea Huasteca

Eco-touristic Accommodation on the Micos bank (Ciudad Valles), a perfect spot if you want to discover the Huasteca Potosina and all the natural activities of the area. Indeed, our hotel is located at the heart of the Huasteca, in a huge natural environment very close to the « Sierra de la Colmena » jungle, next to Micos River and only 20 minutes away from the facilities of a city (Ciudad Valles). Come and enjoy staying in one of the bungalows whose architecture and eco-technics are friendly to the environment. The construction materials of each one of the bungalows ( palm, bamboo, marble,...) as well as their color create a perfect atmosphere to make you feel integrated in nature. Don'tt stop dreaming and come to relax in our steam Prehispanic bath... this place will really help purifying your body and mind. You can also try one of our massages... just lie down, relax, listen to the sounds of the waterfalls and birds and let the masseur look after you.

Small village feel with emphasis on quiet and natural

Reviewed By Mike5466

Only 20-25 minutes from Ciudad Valles but it feels like going back in time. Somewhat of an eco-hotel along the beautiful and easy to swim Micos River. Beautiful tranquil quiet spot with excellent and plentiful buffet style food. On one night, my tour returned way past dinner time and they kept some food out for me. Each ‘bohio’ = hut (bamboo, stones, and thatch roof) is named after a local butterfly, bird, or legend. Your key holder has the same beautiful name and picture to match. The landscaping, although young, is well designed and maintained. They offer sweat lodges (for a minimum of 4 people). They offer massages. They also have a small store for things you may need (water socks, sunblock, hats, etc.). Each night the pathways are lit by torches, keeping things more natural looking. The staff is super friendly. I stayed here a week and met about 17 of the guides and none spoke English, so I am not sure how truly available that is (as another reviewer mentioned). Thankfully I speak fluent Spanish, so it wasn’t an issue for me. Only the second night was a bit of a nightmare as some folks decided to have a drunken party by the river and they were very loud (music, singing, and screaming) well until 6am. It could be heard from all huts. Not a peaceful night. It would have been nice if the staff dealt with this for the benefit of all other guests. Still a great place to be - I would happily return

Every room is it's own piece of paradise.

I've never stayed at a place with such a personal touch! I'm no camper or glamper but I will definitely come back to Casa Nawal. One of the main reasons, other than the fact that you're glamping in an air conditioned tent next to the ocean (hello), was the level of service and attentiveness. Thought not crazy, I did reach out to make multiple requests and Peace was always quick to respond to make sure my wife and I were comfortable and satisfied with our stay. A truly magical experience in an awesome location.

Unspoilt Paradise

Reviewed By Joanna S

It’s true that this cabaña style hotel is situated on a bluff, in paradise, on an incredibly long stretch of unspoilt beach. The small hotel grounds are beautifully kept and the staff are very friendly. The cabañas are basic but clean and comfortable and all have terraces with hammocks and outside furniture and a table. The pool area is lovely and the stairs down to the beach very manageable for most people. I would, however, disagree that the food in the restaurant is good! We have stayed here quite a few times and at best the food has been “passable”. We usually escape to the next village along for a meal on our second night at the hotel. Another strike against it is the way no staff seem to clean up the pool area ready for the next morning’s activity. We are lying out here today at lunchtime, surrounded by towels left by yesterday’s guests. The hotel is well off the beaten track and a true gem. We don’t expect high internet speeds or amazing water pressure. We are here to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings and solitude — but a little more attention to detail and fresh orange juice in the morning would be a lovely and not unachievable addition.

Paradise on earth

This place is simple amazing, it’s quiet, beautifully organised , friendly, down to earth. I just love everything about it. It’s truly beautiful. Luci the owner is great she makes you feel at home as soon as you arrive so does Maxi. Only thing that some people might not like it’s the distance from the camping to the town but you can take a bike or order a taxi. All the rest is a big thumb up. Thank you so very much to every one there.

Bad service

Really bad service. I did a reservation with a month of anticipation and paid 80% upfront. When I was coming in, my reservation was not booked and I had no place to stay so I had to go all the way back home. They did nothing to give us a room and just argued they had a misunderstanding and miss control with our booking. Terrible!

Nice hostel, kind people working there. We had a room for 3 people with a bathroom. Size was okay, location is very good so you can arrive on foot from the ferry, you can go to the beach on foot. Water pressure is low in the shower but this is a common problem encountered in Mexico. If you have long hair like me then just be prepared for long showers to wash it fully.

Would recommend!

Reviewed By mollygeoarcher

We really enjoyed our two night stay here- it was just enough. The tents have air con & the whole glamping site is very pretty. Happy hours were a nice touch as we were running super low on cash due to travelling for 10 days prior. Staff were great & the sun loungers were so comfy. We loved having free entry to the beach club and living care free for two days! Only negative was the nachos, they weren’t fresh chips, and they were covered in the thickest refried beans ever, I wasn’t a fan of the beans, I couldn’t find a single chip without it on. I hate complaining but I asked if I could send them back and get some fresh nachos without beans, the guy said it wasn’t possible and that’s how they are prepared. Surely if they’re fresh you’d just melt the cheese and add the extras, without picking up the refried beans..? He said I could have something else and I said the burger. The burger was rock hard. I didn’t bother saying anything as the first time didn’t go down well. Anyway my point is, if you’re not happy with something it’s good customer service to take it off the bill, yet I paid for BOTH meals. I also saw other people leave full plates of nachos. Just something to take into consideration. Everything else was fine. The manager/ owner was super helpful with recommendations for the remainder of our trip too. Would recommend for sure!
