Really bad service. I did a reservation with a month of anticipation and paid 80% upfront. When I was coming in, my reservation was not booked and I had no place to stay so I had to go all the way back home. They did nothing to give us a room and just argued they had a misunderstanding and miss control with our booking. Terrible!

Club Roca Azul is a sports and recreational private club located only 53 km from the beautiful city of Guadalajara. The club in Jocotepec, Jalisco, surrounded by the paradise of Lake Chapala, is at your disposition with the next services: Cabins (for 2, 4, 6, 7, 8 or 14 people). A huge recreational pool (1 million of liters) A Roca Azul thermal water pool. Sport Areas & Trailer Park
I feel like I have died and went to heaven at Roca Azul RV Resort. The resort is truly lovely and enormous. The RV spots are large. We have an RV, rPod & 2 cars in our spot w/ plenty of extra room. The hook up's work great and there are many of activities ; tennis, soccer, swimming, basketball and volleyball. There are 2 children’s playgrounds & 2 small kids pools. There’s a restaurant. Bathrooms and showers are clean. 24 hour manned gated entrance and someone is on duty around the clock. They offer RV Spaces, tents, cabanas and cabins. There is a huge pool & a thermal hot springs pooled filled daily. Complimentary laundry. The grounds are enormous and meticulously maintained. If you are a little worried about driving your RV to Mexico, Teo does caravans from the US to Roca Azul. The monthly RV costs are 6500 pesos - $325 US. The Resort sits on the edge of Lake Chapala, the largest fresh water lake in Mexico and has its own lighthouse. Teo, the manager speaks perfect English and is very accommodating. The town is 7 minutes away and filled with fresh food markets daily as well as many restaurants and all the amenities you could ever need. In addition, it's only 30 minutes from Ajijic, the largest expat community in Mexico. I would highly recommend this resort. 2 Thumbs Up!

CAMPING LAGUNA DEL TULE
Some good some not so good features. We stayed at Laguna del Tule in the winter of 2017/2018 and then used the facilities also in 2019. As a guest of the bungalows we enjoyed being so close to the Pacific, the crashing waves are glorious. The incessant sound of dueling boom boxes however was unbearable. Many nights we were awoken by loud drunken parties on the pool deck. Speaking of pools, they are freezing cold! The beds are fairly comfortable and staff attentive but management is glaringly arrogant and treats staff poorly. If you're looking for a peaceful beach getaway this is NOT the place. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere, open air on the beach but the food is terrible. One more warning: the concrete walkways and patio are very slippery when wet and they insist on hosing it down ALL DAY. being that most of the guests are older it is extremely dangerous.

I stayed in the casita, I that’s what they called it. It was new and wonderful. I liked the pool, the sheltered patio, the security and the friendly staff. Wonderful balcony off the bedroom. I had a terrific stay and will be going back again this year.

Discreetly situated amidst exotic flora to offer maximum privacy along with relaxing ocean and mountain views, our intimate hotel offers cabins accommodating up to 8 people. Eco-tourists delight in the abundance of wildlife indigenous to the area, including numerous species of birds. And from Thanksgiving to Easter, the bay is full of humpback and gray whales, dolphins, manta rays and sea turtles. Your adventure begins the moment you arrive at our beautiful stretch of coastline with our own private beach.
It’s true that this cabaña style hotel is situated on a bluff, in paradise, on an incredibly long stretch of unspoilt beach. The small hotel grounds are beautifully kept and the staff are very friendly. The cabañas are basic but clean and comfortable and all have terraces with hammocks and outside furniture and a table. The pool area is lovely and the stairs down to the beach very manageable for most people. I would, however, disagree that the food in the restaurant is good! We have stayed here quite a few times and at best the food has been “passable”. We usually escape to the next village along for a meal on our second night at the hotel. Another strike against it is the way no staff seem to clean up the pool area ready for the next morning’s activity. We are lying out here today at lunchtime, surrounded by towels left by yesterday’s guests. The hotel is well off the beaten track and a true gem. We don’t expect high internet speeds or amazing water pressure. We are here to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings and solitude — but a little more attention to detail and fresh orange juice in the morning would be a lovely and not unachievable addition.

Once you leave the check in area, it opens up to a lovely big courtyard filled with trees and flowers. The rooms are rustic and cozy. It is just a few blocks away from the main square and all the stores and restaurants. The owner and staff were so helpful and friendly. What a gem of a place. Even if you don't stay here, go have a look!

Sleep 10 ft from the beach and let the waves relax you into a comfy bliss. The sites are large and the 30amp electricians stable. We have spent 4 months here and will be sad to leave. Quiet walks on the beach any time. Enjoy your own covered porch with each ocean side lot. Wonderful staff. Very expat friendly ??

En general todo está excelente, lugar tranquilo y seguro. Sólo un detalle que posiblemente no depende de ustedes pero si le resta puntos, es el camino que se toma para ingresar al fraccionamiento una vez saliendo de la carretera, está en muy malas condiciones.

Cabin was clean, well equipped, bedding and towels were great. Was a very quiet place to stay. Hot water was at times not working. The grounds were clean, the firewood was available and the staff was friendly. It was difficult to build a fire as the wood supplied seemed to be too wet to burn. If you want a quiet, peaceful stay, go mid-week while the children are in school!
