Bear Creek Campground is a one of a kind, family camping experience located steps away from Lake Compounce Family Theme Park. Providing one-bedroom cabins, two-bedroom cabins, cubhuts, tipis, RV spaces and tent sites.
Next to a dump, a quarry and an incinerator that runs all day, you can hear banging, the burning of waste, and if you look behind the trees, you can see methane vents. Yuck! The “grass” is all rock, and there is close to no shade. Windy, and just horrible. The only positives were the store, the playground and the clean bathrooms. I would love this place if it were in the woods! Ugh. So disappointed. It was nice to have kids around - at least my daughter got to socialize.

Life is good at Stateline. Family, friends, fun...We started as occasional campers-now seasonal. As our camping year comes to close- I think about all the beautiful memories created at Stateline. Ice cream socials, dance parties, pool time, family dinners, crafts, catching fish and frogs- s'mores, campfires, and so much more. Thank you Stateline!

The new Mystic campground is close to everything! Enjoy all the attractions in the greater Mystic Connecticut area, including Rhode Island beaches, Foxwoods Resort Casino and the Mohegan Sun Resort Casino. The campground is beautifully situated on a hill among maple and apple trees, with modern facilities. Trailer sales, certified trailer service and parts and accessories are all available on-site.
This KOA was our second home for almost 10 years, as seasonal guests. We were notified 3 mths before our season started that they no longer have "seasonal" rates. The new rates were drastically increased and only included 2 people, so that meant paying extra for our child. Definitely not what I call family friendly. Website still advertises that they have seasonal rates, but they don't. The activities that were once in abundance have been non-existent the last 5 years. No more pancake breakfasts, BINGO, ice cream socials, seasonals potluck, hayrides, DJ dance parties, karaoke nights, and many more. The campground has gone downhill and not worth the extra money.

Priced as though it is a resort, but it is an old fashioned campground. If you are driving an expensive rig you are not going to enjoy parking in dirt especially when it rains. You have to walk your trash to the dumpster. If you choose to use the showers you have pay. WIFI is marginal at best. The positives are the site are spacious and the cable TV is good.

2019: This winter's upgrades include converting the lower pavilion to a rec hall for additional event space, raising and providing better drainage of the sites near the pond so they no longer flood, fixing electrical hookups and adjusting spacing of the waterfront sites, and power upgrades 2018: Brialee has done a complete overhaul of their bathrooms and many of the facilities in the park. We wanted all of our camping families to know that we listened to what you had to say, and took action! The lower bathhouse has been replaced with a brand new, state-of-the-art facility with commercial grade high-end everything. It's spic and span, and amazingly impressive - not at all what you'd expect from a campground bathroom. The other bathrooms were also remodeled with high-end features. The laundry room was completely remodeled and many other areas of the park and its buildings were, as well. Take advantage of our May specials $25 per night (except Memorial Day Weekend) to see what you think.
The people make this place great! We had an early June midweek visit. It was quiet this time of year which we loved. The staff were so sweet. We stayed in cabins which were in excellent shape and cleaned very well between visits. Game room was fun with air hockey & car racing. Boat rentals were a highlight of our trip. Recommend this place!

Hidden Acres is a really nice campground with great sites, super friendly staff, right on the beautiful Qinnebaug River with a lovely pond and a sandy beachfront. The bathrooms are very clean and the pool is clean and well maintained however only uncomfortable plastic chairs are offered rather than chaise lounges. The problem during this visit was they were doing extensive tree work and there was the constant buzzing of very loud chainsaws that could be heard throughout the campground. At one point they were doing tree work right by the pool! I get it, the safety of all is utmost importance but these trees looked like they may have been in need of maintenance for some time and I would think pre and post season might have been a better time to do this work. We were only here for a few days so for this trip I did not get the complete relaxation I was hoping for.

Sunfox Campground is a family-owned, family-oriented campground in eastern Connecticut, just minutes from ocean beaches, historic Mystic, Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun. Daily activities for all ages during the summer, with theme weekends in the spring and fall. 1/2 mile off I-395 exit 83A.
This is a very good campground. It is wooded, medium sized (80 sites) with about 1/3 transient sites. The majority seasonal sites are for RVs that are there year round, and used weekends and for vacations (I suspect some folks live there for the summer). They only have a couple of transient sites with full hookups, and 30A service. The site we had was mostly level, and the connections were convenient and functioned properly - it is also nice that the sites are not so close together that you are on top of your neighbor. The cable TV was better than average, and the included WiFi provided a connection that was useful. This is clearly a work in progress, and there was evidence of multiple projects recently completed and in the works. This seems to be more of a true camping experience than a resort in that the place is really geared towards children and the quiet enjoyment of nature.

My family booked a 5 day stay at this place. The workers were extremely unprofessional and were of no assistance. The two men that work there were extremely rude to the elderly people in our party when they tried to ask questions for clarifications. The women at the from desk who claimed the be the manager was very unfriendly as well when paper work was brought to her to discuss clarification about the camp ground rules. Will never return to this campground. It was really upsetting for our three children to see adults act in this manner. When the family finally got upset about the way they were speaking to us and we ask him to not raise his voice because the children. He proceeded to say “You think that’s raising my voice, this is raising my voice.”

Odetah enjoys the beauty and serenity of the Connecticut woods, offering you, your family and friends the best in camping and spectacular nearby attractions and excitement.
We went for our annual family/friends week-long campus here this year. It was a very clean, fun adventurous campground with lots of different types of activities to do and see. Unfortunately on the second day we awoke to a flouding water issue. The maintenance team first got on site in less than 5 min Unfortunately one of the water pipes underground had cracked. The good news is Sean gave us several reasonable options to fix the problem and all the while keeping us happy campers. Within a short time everything was fixed and the staff made sure the rest of our stay was more than enjoyable!! Definitely will be back there asap
