We were walking GR10 and were staying here on Saturday 29 August 2015. We arrived and were looked after by the young daughter of the owners who did not really acknowledge us. Our rooms were fine we were given sheets and pillowcases to make our own beds. Dinner was acceptable and afterwards we went for a walk around Goulier which is interesting but was deserted. We could hear very very loud pop music echoing from somewhere in the village. We assumed that it was some sort of local fête and would finish about 11 o'clock or midnight. How wrong we were they stopped playing at 5.00 am. Shutting windows in our room made no difference it so loud it was absolutely impossible to sleep. A French walker we had chatted with the night before was going ballistic complaining as we went down for breakfast saying the majority of guests were walkers an it was completely unacceptable to be kept awake like that. I complained too and left my email address as I was promised an apology from the mayor, two months later I have heard nothing. The owners appeared to be sympathetic but as they knew about the problem they should have at least put us in rooms on the other side of the building. Without the music would I recommend it as a place to stay? maybe as there are not many alternatives but I think the owners know that.

Nestled at the entrance of Ax-Les-Thermes, the campsite Le Malazeou offers a shady and hilly site at 700 meters altitude in the Ariege Pyrenees. Each season has its pleasures : winter skiing, spring ans autumn for relaxation and calm, summer for extreme sports, lounging at the pool and entertainment for everybody. Our only concern is to make you forget yours !
We stayed for a one night stop over with our Motorhome and 2 boys 7 and 10 years, mid July 2016. Pitch and Motorhome service We had a choice of spots and chose a fantastic spot right on the river bank. There was a roar to the water that may put some off but it was we liked it. The pitch just had electricity but we weren't able to find any water or sanitary toilet (elsan point) to service the Motorhome so we just left. The drainage point for grey water was tight to get access to with a poorly placed wall. Pool The pool was meant to be heated but was old and we could find no hot water coming in which left me questioning when it was heated!! Entertainment We went to the evenings entertainment which was a cabaret. It started late at 9:30 and because of the rain there weren't many people there. The drinks were €14 for a pint and a half of beer and 2 cokes. The entertainment itself was ok very French humour with wild costumes and lots of miming to songs. The junior football match was on the TV's France v England so the boys were happy. There were a number of games dotted round the restaurant/ bar area such as table football so if we had had longer there would have been things to do.

renting of chalet, duplex, cabane, tree house, group accomodation, mobilhome and campsite. Near ski station of guzet neige
We booked 9 days at this location in July having chosen based on online reviews and a bit of research and insider knowledge of the Ariege. This is a lovely small and personal campsite with a variety of accommodation options. The location is brilliant just outside the pretty town of Seix which is in walking distance or a minute's drive. The mountain views from the location are brilliant. All the facilities are very well maintained and the owners go out of their way to help with advice and tips. We stayed in a mobile home which was clean and tidy with a lovely terrace. It was a perfect base for exploring the beautiful and tranquil valleys nearby. It also happens to be within one of the most pretty valleys in the area but boasts excellent road access to other attractive valleys. The highlight though was the excellent service and warm welcome from Jean-Michel and Veronique, the owners. Would happily book again or recommend for those looking for a rural escape.

Stayed here for a couple of nights on the way home to break up the journey. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in a small 2 room tent type thing with a small kitchenette. Comfortable enough and clean as were the toilet and shower blocks. The campsite also has facilities for laundry although we did not make use of those. There is free wi-fi and the pool was clean and in good condition. The lake was beautiful as is the surrounding countryside. We didn’t eat at the on site bar but they offer pizza and a variety of other dishes. There was a small market setup on the Friday, the day we left, selling local produce, cheese, wine etc... there was also entertainment on the Wednesday night. Overall a good place to stay.

My husband and I stopped here in our rented motorhome on our way over the Pyrenees into Spain. So glad we found it; although it was late March so not yet very active, staff were helpful and our campsite was clean. The wifi signal is only active at the registration building; there are tables and chairs there for campers' use. There is an electronic gate at the entrance so the campsite seems very secure. A lovely river runs along the front of the property.

Vacances Ariege Pyrenees or V.A.P (for the closest) It is above all the story of passionate people, who want to make you discover their region they are fond of. VAP is holiday accomodation spread over six touristic structures. Skiing, trecking, canyoning, fishing, dog sledding, paragliding, fiesta, bucolic strolling... So much to do and to discover throughout the year ... VAP is also the guarantee of succesful holidays : entertainments, swimming-pools, restaurants, children clubs, accurate services and most of all the desire to welcome you. Ariege is a great and generous region, with so many things to offer, so come to (re)discover Ariege from the valley to the highest peaks in our company ! Welcome in Ariege-Pyrenees !
I never write reviews if its bad but this one ☹Ok camping with fairly good facilities. Probably our fault for picking a pitch close to the bar area. However the rest of the sites we stay on close by 11pm not 1 am. Kids were allowed to run around screaming until after 12 midnight and the 1 am game of table football was a little much. Meant our kids couldn't get to sleep. I think I paid for camping not discoing all night.

Merveilleux !
