Sydney offers plenty of historical and contemporary Australian flavor. The marvelous Sydney Opera House looks like a great origami sailboat, floating peacefully in a harbor. Wander the narrow cobblestone streets of The Rocks and then take in a street performance on the Circular Quay before heading into the Museum of Contemporary Art. The views from the Sydney Tower Eye observatory are epic – use this chance to get to know the layout of the city from high above.

This is no tour around a wildlife sanctuary. Instead, we head to one of a number of areas where you are likely to see wild kangaroos and possibly some native Australian birdlife. Our friendly knowledgeable guides aka ‘our kangaroo whisperers‘ are the best there are and will convey you to the Blue Mountains or Outer Sydney where we normally see many kangaroos, playing, eating, sleeping, etc.On some tours, we have seen over 100 kangaroos in the area on one day. These are wild animals in their natural surrounds. Depending on the day and how they are approached, you may see them lying on the ground, grazing, fighting, bounding away, playing, and generally enjoying themselves.
Inclusions: National Park fees, Driver/guide, Hotel pickup, Hotel dropoff (or dropoff at Parramatta for ferry), Air-conditioned vehicle
Exclusions: Food and drinks, Ferry ticket from Parramatta to Sydney
Great trip. I realised a dream to see kangaroos in the wild. We even saw a joey baby.sticking its head out of a pouch.

Sip and savour the best of the Southern Highlands wine region, an easy 90 minute drive from Sydney. The Southern Highlands has developed a reputation as one of the most exciting young wine regions in Australia. Best known for cool-climate varieties, particularly pinot noir, riesling and chardonnay, the area’s winemakers have expanded the range to include lesser-known grapes too. Even now, as the more established wineries enter their third decade, relative newcomers continue to join the party. And what better way to start a party than with a glass of Southern Highlands bubbles? During the day sample wines from three of the most highly-rated wineries in the Southern Highlands and enjoy a hearty lunch at Australia’s oldest continuously licensed inn. Have a group of 6 or more? Contact Local Travel Planner to arrange a private tour.
Inclusions: Guided wine tastings at three cellar doors, One course bistro meal plus glass of wine, beer of soft drink, Private transportation, Air-conditioned vehicle, All Fees and Taxes

it was a fun and engaging tour! I managed to learn a lot today. I like how you try to link various parts of the tour to portray a holistic story of the history of circular Quay. The in depth knowledge of Macquarie was also interesting, and is especially engaging for audiences as a leitmotif. Thank you for the wonderful tour!

We joined Matt on his online bushwalk as a special activity for our mostly migrant adult leaners and their teachers. As a group of Melbournians in the middle of lockdown we especially appreciated the magnificent views, the trees, the feeling of fresh bush air, the off-track experience and Matt's fabulous commentary. He made it enjoyable and educational for all of us and I would highly recommend this tour for a taste of the Aussie Bush!

Wine tours are nothing without the perfect surroundings in which to indulge. Nestled inland from Newcastle, the Hunter Valley is a mere 2 hour drive from Sydney and is home to wineries, luscious farmland, art galleries, golf courses and native wildlife. On this small-group tour with no more than 16 participants you’ll taste Australian made wines at three boutique wineries, paired with a food menu to compliment every drop. Before leaving Sydney, you’ll visit the Sydney Fish Markets to purchase fresh seafood to be used in the menu and stop in the Hawkesbury region for breakfast. Your guide is not just any old guide – he is your cook as well, and is a qualified chef! We do this to make sure that the food you get to eat matches your tour and the wines you are tasting to perfection. Our mission is to make your day not just an outing, but an expedition, exploring vineyards, and experiencing first class cooking in idyllic surrounds.

My husband and I received a birthday voucher for this experience from our children, and it was certainly money well spent. Jimmy the owner from start to finish produced a magical day for us all, from an insight into the functionality of the fish markets and breakfast in Brooklyn, to preparing gourmet dishes to pair with the lovely wines at each winery visited in the Hunter Valley. We would certainly recommend this tour to everyone and hope to have the opportunity to experience it again in the near future.
