This tour exceeded all expectations. It absolutely exceeded all expectations. They were well organized and very friendly. Our guide was amazing. He was super fun and very informative. But more importantly, he was very engaging. He made the sites and information come to life. It was a long day but, he made it fun and interesting throughout. I would absolutely recommend this tour and this company. I will definitely use them again if I get the opportunity to return to Greece.

We did the 1/2 day that included a visit to Olympia, Klio's Honey Farm and a quick trip to the beach. Our driver gave us some highlights to the island, but he really wasn't a tour guide, per se. When we got to Olympia, we did have a very good guidebook, as stated in the description of the trip, that allowed us to easily navigate Olympia at our pace. Immediately after our visit, we drove up to a honey farm. Klio showed us how they gather honey and we had a honey tasting with fresh made filo. Our driver then took us to a beach area where we spent a little bit of time. Since it was not warm, we just took some pictures and went back to the ship. Overall, it was a very reasonable way to get to Olympia and to visit a honey farm.

The archeological site of Olympia is breathtaking and awe-inspiring. The entrance to the archeological site looks like a passage into space-time. It is a place to be visited, at least once in a lifetime! On this trip we will see many great things, including a museum that houses the most beautiful sculpture of antiquity. This experience is not a walk in monuments, with monologues like teaching. It's soul rebirth and real acquaintance with Greece! I think it is wonderful to fill images and emotions! For us that will be the goal!
Inclusions: Bottled water, Soda/Pop, Snacks, Air-conditioned vehicle, Towels for the beach
Exclusions: Ticket for the archaeological site of Olympia (6€ winter time/12€ summer time), Lunch
This is a wonderful experience that I would recommend to anyone who has an interest in Greek history and/or mythology. Pan collected us from right outside our apartment which was really handy and welcomed us with traditional Greek bread with sesame seeds from the bakery. There was also plenty of water being chilled for us in a cooler. The car was comfortable and clean and had good air conditioning which was very welcome on such a hot day. From the beginning, Pan was really friendly and talkative and we had some really interesting discussions before we even got to our first site. En route to Delphi, we passed the site where the Battle of Marathon took place and learned about the background and story surrounding it. We did not stop here which was fine as it was never planned anyway. Also en route, we passed the ancient city of Thebes and learned about the story of Oedipus. Our first stop was just before Delphi at a viewpoint which was a wonderful place overlooking a beautiful valley. There were portable toilets here. Then we went on to Delphi which was a truly spectacular experience. Pan was very well versed in the history of the area and helped us visualise what the place looked like in its prime. The views from Delphi were beautiful and the ruins left behind were fascinating to see. The cost of entry is not included in the price of this experience and Pan does not enter the site with you, but there are plenty of information boards to explain each attraction. The ticket cost 10 or 12 euros and also included entry into the museum which houses all of the recovered statues and artefacts from Delphi. After this stop (which probably lasted about 2 hours or so) Pan took us to an incredible restaurant for lunch which stunning views over a valley and out to sea. The staff were great and the food was delicious as well as the local ‘Delphi beer’. The cost of lunch is not included in this experience but it is very reasonably priced. Thereafter, we continued our journey to the home village of Pan in the mountains of Parnassus. It is a very charming little village and has two ancient ruined temples on the outskirts. One to Apollo and one to Artemis. There is also a lovely stream next to these ruins with a really interesting story which Pan explains well. After this stop, we made our way to Thermopylae, the site of the ancient battle where 300 Spartans, Thespians and local soldiers held off a huge army of Persians for a short time. We happened to be there on the anniversary of this battle from 2,500 years ago which made it all the more special. Pan again explained the story and took us to exactly where the battle took place. There are monuments there to remember the soldiers and even to this day, flowers and wreaths are left there! After this we drove home and in total the trip lasted 12 hours. There is a lot of time spent in the car but this is a necessity and is balanced out by the amazing sites we got to see and the great conversations we had with Pan. It is a trip we could never manage ourselves and to have the local and expert knowledge of Pan made it really special. Definitely one of the biggest highlights of our trip to Athens!!

I would like to thank this company for an excellent experience and request that they hurry to offer the same at all major Greek archeological sites! We later on our trip went to explore ancient messini and commented all the way around how wonderful it would be if only we could have 3d glasses there as well. It adds another level of interest- seeing the colours and heights and noise of how the Greeks would have lived then. We particularly enjoyed seeing the complete buildings in relation to one another around the site too at Olympia. We look forward to this company's expansion. 5 star.
