This house museum is located at Lenin Str., Ulyanovsk. It is a quaint area with houses of similar design & structure located all around. Vladimir Lenin's family moved here in 1878 thanks to his mother. She was a good economist who saved the money to be able to afford their first real home. Some of the original family members played a huge part in the restoration of the House Museum and donated many personal items which helped to to restore the original look of the family home. The rooms are individually named so visitors can see where each of the family members slept and lived. It is extremely well laid out and looks as if a family were still living there today. For anyone interested in Russian History and Vladimir Ilyich Lenin it is an absolute must see when visiting Ulyanovsk.
