Which I am one. I tour Coastal Artillery forts/batteries whenever I travel. This is a must. The view of the ocean is wonderful. The entire Marin Headlands area with Fort Baker, Fort Cronkite, Fort Barry etc is fantastic for the outdoors hiker and military history buff.

Boutique massage therapy spa offering Swedish, deep tissue, sports massage, Reiki, prenatal, trigger point and more! With five treatment rooms, we are happy to accommodate couples, small groups and families. Open evenings and weekends. Conveniently located minutes off Highway 101 in beautiful Sausalito, just over the Golden Gate Bridge from San Francisco.
I love this place. I have gone to multiple different massage therapists and I have been impressed with all. I like going to different people as they all have a different style. Staff is super friendly. Calm environment.

rode down to sausalito on our trip to San Francisco, lovely little place with great restaurants/deli's and gift shops, a welcome break from the hustle of the big city. We hired electric bikes and cycled through crissy fields, over the bridge and down into the town for the day. cheap parking for the cycles which were securely watched by the attendants while we walked around. and easy to get back up the hill with the electric bikes!!. perfect day. Sausalito is one of those places where you want to live permanently!!.

The largest of six centers that rescue and rehabilitate seals and sea lions found along the California coast.
The Marine Mammal Center is a hospital for injured animals. They house and rehabilitate any number of marine mammals including sea lions and sea otters. There are several stations where visitors can learn about tagging and how biologists track animals, fishing nets and the dangers they pose to sea life, and how they care for their patients. I visited with my boisterous son on a Thursday afternoon. If you have an active child, this may not be the best place to come if there isn't a tour. It is a hospital, and they try to keep it quiet for the animals' comfort. My son was anything but quiet. We're looking forward to visiting again when a tour is happening; Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The gift shop is also A+.

The world's largest working model of San Francisco Bay.
Full disclosure - I'm a visual artist working in photography and the Bay Model Visitor Center hosted a show of my work of the San Francisco Bay Salt Ponds in its lovely gallery. It hosts a rotating array of shows throughout the year, mostly of regional artists but occasionally including and international artist such as myself. The model itself is vast and informative. This is a great location to learn about San Francisco Bay environment, engineering and history. Admission is free and the rangers that operate the Bay model are friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful.

This was one of the drop off locations on the Big Bus Hop on Hop off bus tour. The North Vista Point was absolutely a great place to view the beautiful Art Deco Bridge and the San Francisco skyline as well as the Bay where you can see Alcatraz and Yerba Buena Island/Treasure Island. There are WCs at this location which is very handy. From the Vista Point, there a hiking trails to see various former military batteries that guarded the Golden Gate during more perilous times.

This is a fantastic place picture perfect, you can hire a bike and ride across the Golden Gate Bridge. Unfortunately the fog was really bad the day we were going to ride over you wouldn’t have known you were on the bridge. We ended up taking the ferry both ways , Result. there are restaurants along the seafront and a park area if you bring a picnic. Bring sunscreen as it tends to get very hot and not much of a breeze.
