I enjoy browsing this locally owned bookstore. They have used and new items with an excellent selection. The owners are very knowledgeable of their inventory and offer a free book for your first visit to the store. They sometimes have music and authors presenting.

On the main street in Red Wind you can see a tall bluff ahead. If you look closely, you can see people up there. Little did I realize that shortly, we would be up there walking around! I was hoping you could drive farther up the bluff before walking the rest of the way. but I wanted to give it a try. I'm in my 60's and stopped several times along the way since it's a steep path in places. It was but wooded and enjoyable and even got to see a large bird of prey take off from a nearby tree. The view was spectacular at the top!! Even though it was a bit of a workout reaching the top, it was very rewarding!

With the fall weather starting, my wife and I enjoyed sitting on a bench overlooking the river while our 11-year-old played at the park. This would be a great place to bring a picnic lunch and relax because there are a lot of picnic tables as well as a covered pavilion that can be reserved for a fee. We visited many of the stores in the building. The boutiques have some nice things to choose. The antique has row after row of all kinds of things - all displayed neatly. Was fun to meander and look. Hot outside but nice and cool in the large building. All the salespeople we met were very friendly, Many benches to stop and rest between shops. We had a fun time.

We were blown away at the beauty of the artistic dishes, decorative and historic Red Wing Pottery piece.! The collections were so well organized and labeled by years. You could look in the sales room for the dishes , vases, art pieces you like..then go into the Museum with beautifully displayed similar items, labeled with the year. We spent an hour enjoying and purchasing art pieces with history. Cool old room vignets from the early 1900s and the 50s. Giant 100 year old crocks and other history of Red Wing Pottery. Comfortable fresh remodelled building with clean bathrooms and places to sit too!

If you're looking for a good park to either take a walk or spend some time with family, Bay pointe Park is a great location. There's a marina if you happen to have a boat, and you can just enjoy the scenic River views. There are several grills on the property as well as picnic tables and benches. Excellent place to spend time relaxing with friends or family.
