We are a small, fully-operational vineyard in the south of France practicing organic growing, cultivation, harvesting and production methods. Our winemaker, Serge Baux, is a man of passion whose philosophy is rooted in a respect for nature. Only a stone’s throw from the Mediterranean, mid-way between Perpignan and Canet along the ancient Roman VIA DOMITIA (containing the oldest vineyards of the Mediterranean countries), the Baux estate is spread out over 20 hectares, 12 of which are planted with vines in full production. A completely restored 18th century Catalan Mas houses the vinification, aging and bottling processes. We are also lucky to have a unique terroir, found in very few other places in the world, covered in naturally-formed round stones sitting on a clay bedrock, and we boast strictly manual green harvests with highly-selective hand-sorting of our grapes, producing exceptionally high-quality wines.
We visited spontaneously in the morning. All the team were so welcoming and friendly with a very informative tour and wonderful tasting of all their amazing wines.

This is certainly a beautiful church worthy of exploring. You definitely get a feel that it was meant to be a bit bigger, but, it has a lot of amazing art in every nook and cranny. One really interesting item is an apparent crypt cemented in by a covering with four skull and crossbones figures - one on each corner. Being close to the sea, it makes you wonder...

Sixteenth century fortress built by Emperor Charles V. Museum - Arsenal Renaissance. Unique perspective.
We saw this Fort above our apartment every day and just had to walk uphill on a safe path to see inside. Surprised to see a road on the other side right up to the door! But we enjoyed the walk. Lots of suits of armour and weapons to see and marvellous views. Just do it!

We decided to do this walk from Argelès-sur-Mer to Collioure. The route in one word: beautiful. The route is going over the mountains near the sea. So you got a lot of beautiful sights on the sea, coast and the villages around. A lot of the mountains have a sort of stairs so this makes climbing much easier and safer. Tip: instead of taking the bus back to argeles you can take the boat. For 7euro you have a boat back to argeles (duration 15min)

THE CAVES OF LES CANALETTES: A MAGICAL DAY OUT! The caves of Les Grandes Canalettes are located at a mere 300 metres from the UNESCO World Heritage medieval town of Villefranche-de-Conflent in the département of Pyrénées-Orientales, and at the foot of the Mont Canigou massif on the road to Corneilla-de-Conflent and Vernet-les-Bains. Come and spend a magical day with the family in one of the most beautiful caves in France. The caves are accessible to the general public but the notion of discovery and adventure are ever present throughout your visit into the bowels of the earth…
Grotte des Canalettes is a cave with a lot of stalactites and stalagmites with wonderful natural forms. It is located in the surroundings of Villefranche-de-Conflent, a walled town in the South of France. I came here with my 4 years old daughter, and after she catched a jacket, we began the visit: great! there are some fantastic rooms with a lot of natural rock formations. She enjoyed a lot seeing the natural forms and discovering them. At the end, there was performed a show with colours and music: very nice! Also she liked very much. Really, a wonderful visit for all family (there are some stairs, so for seniors is a bit difficult).
