Townsite Brewing Inc is a microbrewery located in the historic Townsite district of Powell River, at the top of BC’s beautiful Sunshine Coast. Swing in to see what our Belgian Brewing Engineer is up to - and try some outstanding beers that are sure to impress!
I showed up with a group of friends, 6 of us total, and it was fantastic. Our server was Jodi and she was incredibly friendly, polite, well informed on all the beer and went out of her way to make us feel welcome. I particularly enjoyed the Zunga and the Suncoast Pale Ale. I'd recommend that anyone that visits Powell River needs to check out Townsite. It's been a while since I had service as great as Jodi provided and a beer as refreshing after having hiked 80+ km's along the Sunshine Coast Trail. Loved it there.

Professionally guided, all inclusive, day- and multi-day kayak adventures in Desolation Sound, the Copeland Islands and Okeover Inlet. Sea Kayaking is a ‘fun-tastic’ way to explore and two of British Columbia’s most unique and scenic kayak destinations, Desolation Sound Marine Park and the Copeland Islands Marine Park. Quite often we will be followed by nosy seals, playful river otters and sometimes even by an impressive sea lion. With a bit of luck we could encounter a pod of Killer Whales or even a Humpback Whale in Desolation Sound or Salish Sea. Throughout the seasons many bird species choose this area to forage or breed. Frequent sightings of bald eagles, various ducks and shore-birds are not uncommon. We focus on SMALL GROUPS and personal attention. Professionally guided & unique kayak tours in first class, made in BC, kayaks! Tours depart from Desolation Sound Resort in Okeover Inlet or from Lund Harbour on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia, Canada.

We have our own kayaks and spent a few hours doing a 20 km paddle around almost all of the Copelands, launching from Lund. A diverse set of islands with interesting geology, sea life big (seals, porpoises and whales if you are lucky) and small. An absolutely brilliant way to spend a day or bring a tent and camp on one of the island sites. If you are bringing your own boats, beware of the Lund Parking Lots and their dishonest attendant. We understand that they need to make revenue, but lying about where one can put in one's kayak is not cool.

For a small town museum, it is simply outstanding. I'm happy to take visitors there to show off the history of P.R. Great exhibits, and by donation. Worth a couple of hours to take it in. (Pop next door to Putter's for Ice Cream after!)

Our family of 4 (2 adults, 2 teens, with moderate fitness levels) thoroughly enjoyed this trail! Best to bring a water bottle, or two, as it is a 13km bike ride. There are some narrow sections (not completely wheelchair accessible). If you don’t want to bike the entire loop, turn to the trail on your right (when you’re facing the dock)...that’s the portion of the trail with the best swimming spots (be sure to wear your swim suit).
