Just like the good old days only better. A two horse sleigh, clean crisp winter air, the crunch of fresh snow, open meadows, snow covered trees, and the babbling waters of Beaver Creek, sleigh bells and the carol of your choice. Enjoy a hot spiced cider by the open fire. End your horse drawn sleigh ride with a sizzling steak dinner at Beaver Creek Lodge in front of the rock fireplace.
My husband and I had so much fun on our wagon ride learning about the history of the land from our tour guide. We ended the ride with the best apple cider by a cozy fire. We will definitely be visiting again!

We were there on April 7th we got lucky and had a sunny day. This trail seems to open up early, virtually all the snow had melted. Water was flowing and the view at the top was spectacular. The climb itself is scenic, wide open, lots of switchbacks not a whole lot in the way of forest cover. The view from the top is spectacular. My only gripe would be road noise could not be escaped. I can't imagine how hot this trail must get in the summer.

Leavenworth Reindeer Farm is a USDA licensed farm located less than 1/2 mile from downtown Leavenworth. We provide farm tours for the whole family by appointment only. Come meet our friendly reindeer, feed them and take photos of a magical experience on the farm.
Make reservations on their website. We got there about 25 minutes early to check in and there were good photo opportunities. After checking in, you can feed the chickens and turkeys, have a refreshment that is provided (cookies and coca), take pictures in/around the barn. When it is your time to go, everyone meets by the fire pit for a lesson on reindeer. After that, your group goes into the pen area with the reindeer. You are given food and the reindeer come up and eat. After that they help you get a picture with one reindeer. Absolutely fantastic time!

Do your kids love animals? Do they love feeding them, touching them, learning all about them? Refuge River Ranch is a wonderful place for kids to connect with animals without the crowds. Combined with unparalleled mountain scenery, there's nothing quite like Refuge River Ranch on earth.
Found this gem while searching for fun things to do in Leavenworth and decided to surprise my wife with this amazing experience. If you are an animal lover and like to have that first hand experience with many animals then this is the place to go. Not only do you get to feed horses and goats but you get to hold a chicken get kissed by an alpaca and hear the most amazing rescue animal stories.

Displaying over 7000 nutcrackers, the Nutcracker Museum is a unique experience for visitors. People have come from all over the world specifically to view this unique collection. You’ll find nutcrackers from Roman times to modern day and nutting stones from the Archaic period. Children and grownups will enjoy a “nutcracker hunt”, our version of a scavenger hunt! As of December 2019, we are now located on the ground level in the same building we have always been in. Stop by and take a look at our newly expanded museum and store.
Wow. This place is incredible!! We spent over an hour and could have spent 2 if it wasn’t for our toddler. What an incredible collection. For $5 this is absolutely worth the time. The staff were so friendly and the founder was there, 95yrs old and still doing what she loves how incredible! The shop has a great selection of ornaments and nutcrackers for sale and some pre owned for sale at a great price. Some were doing a scavenger hunt which looked cool to do!
